Burley Stores

Burley Stores is a lovely traditional tea room right in the middle of the village. We enjoyed the New Forest ice cream and the cream tea (although the scone was a little more bready than I typically would prefer). There is limited outdoor seating but it still provided a pleasant stop during the day

This is an excellent location for a light lunch and there is a good variety of food available.
The problem when we visited last week was there was only one person on the till and one person in the kitchen which led to very slow service at the till and a long wait for the food - at least half an hour for a baguette.
We enjoyed our visit and the food when it arrived!

Lovely family run business, great coffee and food! Blueberry cake was definitely a favourite! This is the place to go for a cream tea in Burley, you can sit and watch the ponies go past the window or sit outside and take in the relaxed atmosphere on a sunny day!

They do some great food, limited indoor seatings though

Been stood outside the shop for nearly an hour. Planned to get some pies. Website states it opens at 10am its now 11.40 and still not open. Lots of people around. What poor service and business ethics.

The person serving was the rudest person I have ever had the misfortune to meet. I am surprised he still has a business if he speaks to people like he did to me and the customers behind me.

He needs to go on a course dealing in customer service because he had know idea. If he doesnt want tourists visiting the area then shut his shop but he also needs to bear in mind its tourism keeping his business afloat.

Thank goodness that the other shops locally were a lot friendlier and made up for this unfortunate man.

Avoid! Staff are very very rude, put a downer on our experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. However as the staff here was so rude we went over to The old farmhouse restaurant & tea rooms and it was a completely different vibe, staff were incredible. Don’t waste your time at Burley Stores!!
