I do not recommend this place to process or scan your 35 mm film. I am very sad with the result. I attached a few scans and images of mine

First of all, I am extremely frustrated with the quality of scans. Some of them are 250KB only.

Secondly, the film I got back was not cut nicely, some of the frames were cut not straight resulting in loosing a bit of image. Now I want to scan them again to get a better quality, and a few frames are not straight, I am loosing some of my compositions.

Thirdly, I received a CD with my scans and a downloading link to my email. Why do I need a CD, if I can download everything online? That is an unnecessary use in my opinion. Providing a customer only with an online downloading link would be more eco-friendly to my mind.

Great shop with very helpful and friendly staff. Took in an old lens I'd inherited from a late friend that had a filter cross-threaded on. I'd been trying for years to get it off to no avail, and they were able to remove it in a few minutes with no charge.

They stock a good range of film, it's my go to place for 120 and 35 mm. They also have a great range of cameras (digital and analogue), telescopes, binoculars and accessories.

The best camera shop around! I've dealt with Owen and the team at Campkins for years, for work (scientific imaging) and hobby, digital and film, cameras bodies, lenses and accessories. They always have a great stock, and anything that they don't have in the shop can be found and acquired quickly. Super knowledgeable and very personal service. Highly recommend!

Great customer service, popped in Saturday and ordered an Olympus 40-150mmF4 Pro lens and although not in stock was promised it would be hand delivered this week. Wasn't expecting it delivered by Owen himself 1630 on Tuesday. Great customer service, friendly staff and an ever smiling Owen. Can't wait to put lens through paces.

We wanted to support a local independent shop but felt that the customer experience was lacking. The member of staff that served us was sarcastic, abrupt and a bit condescending. We were told that he couldn't give us a delivery estimate until we had paid a 25% deposit. I'm sorry but we're not handing over £350 without knowing when we can expect it. In the end John Lewis got it for us next day!

I am a novice photographer and went into the shop looking for advice on which type of lens I needed to do a specific type of photography. While they didn't have the lens I needed in stock Will was unbelievably helpful taking time to explain (in layman's terms) what I needed and how to get the best out of the lenses I already have. I will definitely be back and will be supporting this shop in the future. It is great to find a shop with such fabulous customer service.

Like the other reviews say, don't send in here your 35mm film. I Wanted to give this place a try since i live 5 mins from here walking and i only dropped in 1 roll of color negative film from some trips photos, nothing too important. But i was very saddened by the quality of the images. The size and resolution is not really the problem since i've had scans before from other places at the same resolution that come out 10 times better. i think it has more to do with the scanners that they use. And my negative was cut from the corners like the other images from other people show. very dissapointing since it's 11 pounds per color negative roll. I Recommend it for everything else except film development, for that try to search the many dedicated film development labs around England.

I put my *charged and working* camera in for cleaning here and paid £60 for an amazingly poor customer experience. It was returned a week later without the battery, ie the camera doesn't turn on because the battery housing is now empty.

When I ask for the battery returned, the agent who answers the phone says "I doubt they would have removed the battery" immediately, before even looking into the matter. The customer is always wrong, it seems.

Edit for balance: they did find the battery a couple of days later and sent it to me. And the camera cleaning was done well.
