A purchase of nearly £2,000 of DSLR equipment is not to be taken lightly and certainly not to be just chanced on an internet purchase. I have upgraded to the Canon EOS 80D only after careful consideration and trying out the product. It was essential that I also got a genuine UK product rather than a grey import as I required the guarantee and latter assurance of the product being genuine. Pantiles Cameras gave me all the assurances I needed and more. Expert sales staff ensured I walked away with the correct product and at a reasonable price. I would have no hesitation in recommending this shop whom I have dealt with for over 25 years.

I have purchased 3 cameras over last few years. They have always given good advice and offered help with how to use the new camera. Professional service with very competitive prices, I definitely recommend.

Excellent service even though I did not buy at this time, as I just wanted to see if a lens from a canon EOS650 film camera was compatable with the digital camera. I am pleased to say it is and having now looked at various web-sites for a new camera, i will be returning to this shop in the next week to purchase one. I have just purchased a Sony RX10 IV camera from Pantiles Cameras. They were very helpful and knowledgeable, and understood my needs as their customer. They gave clear explanations and had a detailed knowledge of their various products. Their approach was to show me the camera that they thought was best suited to my needs and were, I think, pleasantly surprised when I decided to go for the next model up, a decision that I do not in any way regret. After purchase I had an issue with linking the camera to my phone using the dedicated software. They went to a lot of trouble to get it sorted and fixed. That is the kind of service which will not be available on line and almost certainly not from a larger more general store, yet the price that I paid for the camera was comparable with prices online and elsewhere. I strongly recommend this shop for thoughtful pre-sales advice, helpful service at the point of sale, and supportive after-sales service, too.

A wonderful shop with friendly knowledgeable staff. I managed to get a canon r6 here when everywhere else had waiting lists. I'm so happy I found this store. I will definitely be back.

Very friendly man working in the shop took my picture, which was high quality and indicated as "good" when I applied for my passport. I recommend coming here instead of finding a booth, which can be lower quality, out of use (like the one outside Sainsbury's near this shop) and some don't even offer an ID codes (like one in Morrison's I tried). Will return in future for anything camera related since the guy seemed cool.

2 stars only as the service was quick I must say. Got my son's passport picture taken and been shocked to find the picture was far from good. Got my own camera out and the result is better than from the professional service I paid £10 pounds for! A friend I recommended these guys to went in 10 mins after and the picture is great! I guess it is the individual approach depending on who takes it. Still, it should have been retaken really. I was told by David that passport pictures dont really matter and that picture is fine for the purpose. Also, it is not a very flattering image of your professional services. Sadly, wont recommend again.

Very helpful and I'm hoping to hear from them as promised with an estimate for camera gear offered in part exchange. If I don't then the five stars will be cancelled forthwith.
