Camera Centre

My birthday was in July and my husband wanted to treat me to a good pair of binoculars as I am a 'twitcher'.
He did his research and identified the Camera Centre as the best place to buy my binoculars. The service we experienced was excellent. David was informative, helpful, professional and not at all pushy. He walked us through the various binoculars and taught us a few things about the physics of optics! We left the shop to discuss our purchase and then returned 15 minutes later to buy them as we were satisfied we had received sound advice. I only hope these wonderful small shops remain prevalent in Swansea and there is not a further degradation of small businesses. You have to walk to this shop but that is about the only disadvantage for some, everything else places it leagues ahead

Great little camera shop. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful and not pushy sales people. They have a good range of current digital stock, as well as plenty of secondhand (digital and film). I always visit when I'm in the area.

I bought a Sigma 18-300 super zoom lens for my Canon 600D here a couple of weeks back. The price was very competitive, as good as the best price on-line (to within a couple of quid). But, and here is the big But, I was able to try the lens before buying it, and compare it to other makes. The advice and friendliness from the chaps in the shop (my apols, can’t remember your names, my bad!) was brilliant, and shows the benefits of supporting your local retailers. It gets even better, because I thought the optical stabilization may not be working properly (my first lens with OS). A quick trip to the shop today and I was able to compare mine with another lens on a Nikon body showing it was me and not the lens. The chap I dealt with even phoned the Sigma tech help just to confirm everything was OK. This will be my first stop in future for anything to do with photography.

Their website isn't the best. If you sell something, remove it! Why leave it their marked as sold? Shop is small but clean and pretty well laid out, friendly staff too. Personally, I found that they don't have much (if any) of the latest models in stock. :/

Knowledgeable staff and very helpful, bought a Nikon camera and they tried out my older Nikon lenses to make sure all worked well. Very pleased with my purchase and at a competitive price. Ten out of ten, would definitely go back and recommend.

I have been using this shop for over 30 years and recently part exchanged a camera that I bought from them 30 years ago for a new one. Always good prices and friendly staff. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks guys.

I have been very impressed with the service in this shop. The guy has excellent knowledge and gives very good advice on what to buy. I would highly recommend this shop.
