Great, relaxed site. Loads of space to pitch up. Clean showers/toilets and washing up area. Amazing views and 10 minutes easy walk down in to town (recommend the 3 Tuns or Boars Head for food and drink). Will definitely be returning

I've just spent 3 nights in the Plowden Railway Carriage over May Bank Holiday. The carriage is extremely comfortable and warm, with everything you need for a long break. Toilets and showers were less than a minutes walk away and kept clean. I will definitely stop here again in the near future.

Lovely hidden gem really quiet and peaceful good toilet and shower facilities. Although it seems really remote it's actually really close to bishops castle.

The campsite was actually really nice however me and my friend were made to not feel welcome. When we arrived the owner made a patronising comment after i asked to buy some firewood, jumping to the conclusion we were going to just burn logs on the grass. After reminding her i spoke to her on the phone last night and had already asked if fire pits were available she changed her tune. Also awkward interactions when we saw her around the site giving of the impression she felt quite intimidated by us. Maybe it was the way we looked, who knows.

A fantastic campsite, with easy access to Bishop's Castle with its array of watering holes and quirky shops. This eco friendly campsite has very few EHU's but is perfect for a back to basics camping. Currently at £10 per person and the site excepts tents, caravans and motorhomes. Book a pitch via their website.

Really lovely campsite in a great location with excellent views (if you're in a tent in the top field). It's very well maintained, caters for all types of campers (tents, caravans, camper vans etc.) and looks to be run along sound environmental principles.

The centre of the site has clean toilets and showers with facilities for washing pots and fridges for milk etc. The town centre of Bishops Castle is only a short walk away through a field which has shops, pubs and restaurants. The people running it are friendly and helpful and during our 3 day stay I couldn't find anything to complain about. Would highly recommend if you're in the area looking for a relaxing campsite to stay in.

Camped here many times great campsite with clean showers and toilets great views and some amazing walks the village itself is really old with some beautiful timber frame buildings and an original cobbled path. It has nice cafes and a few pubs nice one called the 3 tons and there's a not bad Indian restaurant it's very steep round there so get ready for walking and lot of it up hill. To sum up a great little place to visit and very friendly owners with an amazing village to explore and if you get chance to visit around the end of September there's the micklemas fair which is great
