Liked: Can pitch anywhere on the field. Excellent facilities, very clean toilets and showers. Amazing and I mean amazing staff. Nice shop to buy essentials, prices are really decent.

Disliked: You could be close to other campers so with small children its hard to let them enjoy camping without disturbing others.

Liked: This is our 3rd stay at the site and as always its a lovely campsite with friendly owners/staff.
Its incredibly reasonable and is located in a lovely area of the Peak District.

The site toilets and shower areas are always clean and perfect for the size of the site.

The shop sells different items but are all very well priced (daughter loves the flip lollies so 4 or 5 are purchased at a time).

Nice bacon bought each morning to set you up for the day.

Its pet friendly and the kids love the play area which is in site of tents so you can let them play safely.

5 stars all the way!!!

Liked: Plenty of space to choose from. Lovely views. Very clean and tidy. Good play area for children. Plenty of toilets. Plenty of hot water for showers. On site shop with various items, including some spare camping accessories. WiFi didn't work at our pitch - advised one of the masts were down- didn't bother us but may be a problem for some Staff very friendly and helpful. Close to a number of attractions. We visited Gullivers Kingdom. Little one didn't want to leave. Looking forward to returning for longer next time.

Disliked: May have a short wait for showers at busy times

Liked: Really good family campsite. Facilities were kept clean and in good condition by the lovely couple who also run the shop, our little boy was really taken with them, they were really good with all the kids. The play park was great for kids of all ages. The chickens visited our tent a lot, one of them was most insistent on stealing our chips which was hilarious! Even on the weekend when it was busiest there was plenty of space for the kids to play. Definitely going back sometime.

Liked: The reception area was clean and easy to find and the staff were lovely . We chose the middle field and pitched next to the excellent play area . The shop was open late , meaning that we were always able to buy necessary items and there was a communal fridge for perishables which ( literally) saved our bacon . The toilets were kept clean and there were enough for everyone staying . You have to pay for showers and if we had stayed for more than two nights , would have been a pain , but was fine for our visit . There were pigs and chickens at the site which was lovely and kept my children entertained .
We were there for two nights and had a pizza van and a fish and chip van visit for food .
My only slight negative , and this was something that I could have changed if I had been bothered , was the noise from the play area . Everyone was enjoying it until about 10pm which made it difficult for my younger children to get to sleep . However , it is a family site and is to be expected .
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again .

Liked: Lovely clean well kept site. The children loved the play area and we all felt they were safe to go and play. Showers lovely and liked that there are electric sockets so I could use my hairdryer. Nice touch that a fridge and freezer are available to use. Very chilled holiday.

Just stayed here for a few nights. Nice site, very friendly and welcoming staff. Toilets and showers well maintained and frequently cleaned, no issues here.

There is a quarry nearby and this can be heard at night if you're in a tent, but is only a quiet hum. Our friends next to us in a caravan didn't hear it at all.

There is a play area which our kids (aged 5 and 2) loved. They also liked the free roaming chickens.

It's not the most level of sites, at least not in the field we stayed in near the shop, but nothing an avid camper or leveling legs on caravan can't handle.

Talking of the shop, this was well stocked and reasonable priced with long opening hours. Handy for the items you've forgot, or just for ice-cream to treat the kids.

We'll be looking to book again next year.

Liked: Absolutely everything! I loved how well the animals were looked after, the pigs home was like a palace compared to some of the sites we’ve been to which had animals. And the chickens came to see us just before we left which was so lovely! We met the lady who ran it who was so nice and her daughter and her lovely pony! Such a great place and we already cannot wait to come back next year! The toilet and shower block were spotless! The views from where our tent was were just amazing, you’re quite high up so the views are just awesome. We’ve already recommended to loads of people so cannot wait to come back next year! Thank you so much xxxx
