after a recent bereavement my best friend and I needed to get away from it all. the sweetings looked perfect so we booked up a weekend. it has been everything we needed and more! beautiful surroundings and location: lovely area and went for a long walk - stopping by at the bakers arms and farmers boy pubs
. both very friendly and welcoming. the pods are just perfect. love the little touches such as teabags, washing up liquid, bathroom creams. the pod itself is spotless and made up just perfectly. sitting outside on the provided table and chairs watching nature was idyllic. we took a slow cooker and let the food cook itself whilst we explored the area. David has put a lot of thought and effort into the pods and it is maintained and cleaned to exceptional standards. definitely will be returning here as this has been the perfect break. highly recommend if you want to get out of the rat race for a while

We just came back from spending Easter weekend at Sweetings Wood Glamping, staying in their EcoHut and I want to say that everything about this place was pure perfection. The view from the terrace is a gorgeous field of beautiful horses. The hut itself caters for every need (kitchen, seating, modern shower, comfortable bed...) whilst the outdoor space includes a huge barbecue and fire-pit that only requires the use of the surrounding firewood and kindling to get started.
Best of all was Dave and his absolute dedication to making our stay as easy, comfortable and idyllic as possible.
The Farmer's Boy pub which is a 3 minute walk away has a lovely beer garden and does some great traditional pub-grub and the neighbouring village green is incredibly picturesque.
A perfect romantic retreat that is a half hour train away from London. I'll hopefully be returning soon, equipped with my laptop, a few beers, some bbq fodder and a good book. With WiFi available, I'm going to aim to use this place as an option to work remotely when the London hustle requires some time away for focused work.
If you're into a bit of meditation or mindfulness practice, the birdsong is enough to make Sweetings Wood Glamping a place to stay.

This is the perfect spot for a quick getaway! It's a short train ride away from London nestled in a beautiful location. The cabin comes equipped with everything you need. (*bring your own hair dryer if you need it) I would recommend doing your shopping prior to arriving if you're not traveling in a car as the nearest shop is a bit of a hike. UberEats will deliver to this location & the Farmers Boy has fantastic lunch & dinner options depending on the day of the week. Can't wait for my next stay!

A fantastic getaway. Cozy cabins with all the amenities (hob, microwave, fridge, tpilet and a lovely shower) and a really comfy bed. Loads of of lovely local walks to go on and a great pub for food and drink just a short walk down the road. The owners were really accommodating and had made a special effort to make sure that visitors could come and stay safely and in comfort during the COVID-19 pandemic.
