Liked: The site staff were very friendly and offered advice on fishing. The pitch was close to the pools and the toilet block. Toilet/shower facilities were clean and well kept. Hot water at the washing up station. My partner enjoyed fishing the well stocked pond and caught lots of fish. We enjoyed our two nights and would happily stay again.

Liked: We liked how the pods were so close to the fishing. The owners were friendly loved the resident labrador that came for a nosey every so often. Would return.

Disliked: That there is only option for 2 adults and 1 child (that i could see). We would definitely come back with both children if the option was there

Liked: Pleasant guy at reception

Disliked: Really poor toilet and shower facilities. I think this site is not really for holiday makers but for those who are fishing experts. We left early mainly because we had a problem with our van but also because the site was just a bit depressing, but maybe that was just us? Normally stay on Caravan club sites so our expectations were perhaps a bit high?

Liked: Absolutely beautiful site, the pod was very clean and tidy when we arrived and well stocked with everything we needed. Easy and swift check in, friendly hosts and beautiful destination.
It was so peaceful and relaxing and my partner had the best weekend of fishing, catching well over 100 fish over our weekend stay. Would definitely recommend and visit again in the future.

Disliked: None

The site is smaller than it appears on the photos, the fishing is great, the facilities are OK, could be cleaner tbh. It's dog friendly but you have to go off site some distance to find a decent dog walk and although there are rules about keeping your dog on lead at all times the owners dogs roam freely and one pee'd up our water barrel!

Liked: Site is scenic and well cared for. Facilities were kept clean.

Disliked: Touring sites are 2 metres from a road which is very busy day and night. Very difficult to get any sleep!

Liked: Nice scenery, good location, easy to access

Disliked: On check in we were given the wrong pitch so had to move across, shower nearby was broken so had to use another across site which was always busy, noisy as under a flight path for East Midlands, the managers had a dog which just free roamed the site (friendly but a surprise to have a dog walk into your tent!), next door neighbour (long term tenant) was out but their alarm went off constantly at 6am on the last day we just left at 8am very tired! No shop on site (had to drive into local town). No Wi-Fi found

Liked: Pleasant location, ideal foe Calke Abbey

Disliked: After payment on arrival, advised that showers on touring site out of action due to shower being left running for two days! Hygiene / cleaning onsite is clearly inadequate.
