Liked: There was loads of space, and it was very private despite other motorhomes on the site. The views were lovely, a nice slice of Peak countryside. In the corner of the site was a gate that led directly to a brilliant path for walking and cycling (Tissington Trail). We took our bikes, so didn't even have to use a public road to get to a superb cycle path. On the path were farm goods with an honesty box, I bought lime marmalade, cakes and eggs. And when we were cycling we saw a sheep birth a lamb, and the black calves skipped up to say 'Hello' to the newborn. This is real, beautiful and accessible countryside. Then off back to the camper for a BBQ supper and a peaceful evening and quiet night. It was very reasonably priced, too. Oh, and this may sound random, but the surrounding stone walls are a beauty to behold. The friendly farmer-owner said there were 5 kilometres of walls, all neat and exquisite.

Disliked: No toilets, but that is made clear in the info.

Liked: We enjoyed our stay very much. We were already aware the site is more exposed and only has the basic facilities and this posed no problem for us. We appreciated the fact that we were allowed to 'set-up' on arrival and 'take down' to leave at any time during the day. The owners were helpful and friendly. Altogether a very pleasant and relaxing couple of days staying there.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Liked: Liked that we could turn up anytime and leave anytime. The views are beautiful and the site is lovely and peaceful. Great location close to Buxton , Bakewell and Tissington trail is a stones throw away. Can’t wait to book our next stay there.

Disliked: Cannot fault a thing

Liked: A lovely site with excellent views and services similar to a CL without hook up. Top of field is reasonably level, elsewhere levellers will be required. steep walk down to Tissington trail. A bit of a challenge with bikes but managed it. Will visit again. Site is run by a friendly farming family.

This is a spacious and well maintained CL. It has good electrics ( 16 amps) and good WiFi coverage. The owner is very friendly and helpful. There is some undulations in the field but it is easy enough to find a level spot. Will return to this site again.

This place is amazing if you want a off grid experience with no facilities.
You can not camp in a tent only motorhome camper or caravan with own facilities.
This campsite has a chemical disposal point and water point .
Great access to the Tissington trail and high peak trail for the keen cyclist and also great walking. Not far from a bike rental and cafe on the trail .
We paid £28 for the weekend ...

Liked: Everything we had the whole field to our selves apart from the owner to came by the first morning to collect the balance for our stay we didn't see a soul, it was perfect, brilliant 360o views peace and quiet what a wonderful way to completely unwind, no pressure on leaving times, we left when we were ready, will definitely be using this site again.
