Such a beautiful location and so friendly. we spent the remainder of Easter real here and it was a truly lovely camp. The Hay Meadow field has around 5 terraced plateaus facing down towards the wooded Wray Valley trail which is beyond the brook and woodland. Ideal for my daughter who enjoyed playing in the river, cycling on the trail to Mortenhampstead and down to Bovey Tracey.
Facilities are great, and the stars at night in this beautiful wild place are wonderful. We will definitely be returning.
Thank you for a magical stay.

Amazing, peaceful and beautiful location, a great place to camp. I would highly recommend staying here. Michelle and Kevin are lovely and very welcoming. The Wray Valley trail is so close we were inspired to hire bikes (link on their website wrayvalley.co.uk) and we had great fun! We will 100% be back again 😀
They also have an attractive b&b in this idyllic setting 😀

Loved this place. Kevin has made this place a super place to camp on Dartmoor.

It really is for wild camping enthusiasts who do not mind a compost toilet.

A special shout out to the wonderful hot showers.

Shame we camped during a downpour.

Will definitely book again and get out on the trail for a hike.

Had a beautiful few days in Dartmoor using Wray Valley Campsite as our base. The campsite was lovely with a really good shower block, and microwave and kettle for our use. The owners were lovely to chat to and the campsite chickens are my new best buddies.
I'm already looking forward to staying here again next year.

Peaceful and beautiful campsite. Friendly and helpful owners. Cycle hire a mile or so down the road. Facilities clean . Would definitely go back again. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you.

We stayed at the Nearly Wild Camping Pitch at Wray Valley and loved every minute. The beatufully secluded rustic pitch let us wake in the shade and fall asleep to the sound of the brook. Being right next to the cycle track, we were able to take our kids for daily rides. The amenities are beautiful and if you want to go full eco-friendly, there is a compost toilet in the 'bush bog' too. The hosts and roaming chickens are brilliant and extremely accomodating and friendly.

Lovely and beautiful stay at this secluded campsite. Big enough pitches and far away from other campers which give you a nearly wild camping feel. Reason for not giving 5 star was because we could hear cars going past quite frequently until very late at night where there was not as many cars on the road. This could be perhaps due to where we were pitched. However, would not hesistae to recommend this place. Lovely owners and very helpful during stay. Great washing up facilities, compost loo and normal shower and toilet. Shower can get cold if few people used just before you, so would recommend waiting half an hour if there are few of you! I understand why as needs to heat up..so best you know that now or can be in the middle of a shampoo and no hot water comes out! :)

A hidden gem. Great place for motorcycle camping, especially when your planing on wild camping with motorcycle. It's as close as you can get with an added security of leaving your gear whilst exploring devon and Cornwall. With myself and another friend planned to go fishing and ride Dartmoor. Definitely recommended. Will be looking to come back soon.
