Best campsite I’ve ever stayed at. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the facilities were kept spotlessly clean. The location is fantastic and the views are beautiful. There are many pitching spots to choose from that are spread out enough so you have lots of privacy. I have no complaints whatsoever and I intend to return!

This is a good campsite. Lots of different fields to camp in. I liked this but found the train line nearby kept me awake and so did the planes on the Manchester Airport flight track I think did too. Remember hearing them until at least 1.30am.
Facilities are good and clean. Two pubs withing a few minutes walking distance. Near start of pennine way.

had my first proper experience camping here last night. was nervous because i’ve never been an ‘outdoorsy’ person but this campsite was so lovely and completely converted me. staff were so welcoming, lovely and helpful. toilets and showers were spotless. short walk away from a pub and a train station and there were even campsite dogs there that me and my friends got to play with! 🥰 such a lovely experience will definitely be coming here again!

Top campsite with a great variety of pitches to choose from. Also nicely geared towards backpackers as nearly all the pitches are car free. Superb location next to fields of sheep and a bubbling brook. Site and facilities really clean and everything in great shape with the bonus of 2 decent pubs a five minute walk away. A great base for any Dark Peak adventuring.

Lovely, clean and well prepared campsite. Had everything we needed for a lovely quiet stay; all facilities clean, well stocked, always accessible and staff are more than happy to help. Was greeting with a welcoming smile to a beautiful campsite. Would fully recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing campout. Thank you again to both ladies who worked there.

Excellent campsite very spacious and clean. The bathroom facilities are excellent very clean and tidy. There is a small wash area for pots and pans washing up liquid is provided. Water tap outside to fill up water bottles for the hike. The staff are very helpful and friendly. This was my first visit and it will be my go to campsite when I visit Edale as its also very close to the train station.

Recently spent a very cold 5 nights here, and its a fantastic site. First time I'd visited in years, and it was still as good. Clean toilets and showers, good sized wash up room, and a bothy/drying room with fridge and chargers. Some facilities cost 20p or 50p extra, and the train line can get noisy if a freight train passes by, but other than that perfect. Several small fields to choose from, none of which are far from the facilities. I'll be back in the new year.

Ideal for a weekend of walking or starting the Pennine Way. Close to the two local (excellent) pubs and a cafe too. 3 minutes walk from Edale train station too. I really lovely campsite run by two friendly people who keep it spotless. Been twice now and will return many more times :)
