Great site, close to lots of walks on Dartmoor, only about 3 miles into Newton Abbot which if you are up for it is a lovely walk along the Templar way. You need to have your own facilities here as there is no toilet block but what is provided is excellent, clean and well maintained. Good site for dogs too.

A fantastic place for walkers, with or without dogs, no Devon hills here! You can walk all the way to Newton Abbot, off road along the old canal (and get the bus back if needed) or walk to Bovey Tracey, again mostly off road and any roads are quiet ones! Good, flat access to both walks for cycling, prams and wheelchairs nearby.
Site is very well maintained and quiet with regular wildlife visitors of birds, squirrels and ducks. No facilities, but we all carry our own don't we, with plenty of points around the site so you don't have far to walk.
Wardens are very welcoming and always happy to help if you have a problem/query. This is our go to place for a relaxing break, why not try it yourself?

Very pieceful site, with lors of choice of pitches. Andrea and Steve the relief wardens are very helpful and friendly and happy to give advise of places to visit near by. Lots of toilet emptying/ water fill points around site. No toilet or shower block but does have an information room with lots of info on the local area. If your looking for a quite relaxed campsite, look no further. Great location to A38, Trago Mills, Dartmoor and the coast. You can easily walk to Stover County Park from here as well, lots of bird life and great walks around the lake.

We absolutely love this site. The wardens are lovely. The site is kept to a very high standard.
It is in a ideal location for exploring

Fantastic wardens, very welcoming and friendly, lovely site, very well maintained... So why only 2 stars? Not suitable for wheelchair users, pitches are almost impossible to move on as the gravel is so deep and coarse, and toilet emptying stations are inaccessible to wheelchairs, very narrow path and tight turns make it impossible to use. If you are able bodied, fantastic site, as a wheelchair user, unfortunately, I won't be back. The caravan Club obviously don't consult wheelchair users, this is not the first site I have criticised, and I am sure it won't be the last

Great site & Stover Country Park next door. Lovely walks around lake & park. No shower or toilet block but we always use our own anyway. Wardens friendly & good location for all attractions.
