Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent site. One of the best and most idyllic sites I've ever been on. Great facilities, always very clean. Lots of lovely walks from camp. No Need to use car. About 20 minutes from windermere. Access road is very narrow, ensure you don't arrive early. Great for dogs. All pitches are hard standing. Ensure you have decent pegs. Club shop has lots of maps to purchase (cheaply) for local walks. Site is on an old gunpowder mill, and guided walk of site is a must. Will definitely be back.

Very accessible site. Beautiful reception area and incredibly welcoming team of wardens. Facilities very clean and site as well maintained as is possible in a woodland location. We liked the little terraced areas which give some privacy. Proximity of Kendal, low level walks, shop, pub and café make it a great spot for a mini break.

Great site. Lots of small areas for pitching. Some under trees, which is noisy if it rains. Good tv reception but we may have been lucky. Not to everyone's taste, but we enjoyed the site very much. As expected facilities clean and modern. Great time spent there. Beware of biting insects in your van!

Here for 4 nights, bit hilly but it is in a old quarry in the lake district. Nice pitches most sperated by trees into smaller sections giving it a cosy feeling, river walk, local pub and farm shop, cafe within walking distance.

What a beautiful site, my husband and I love a private, quiet, site. Kind, caring staff with fantastic facilities. Close to an amazing pub (The Strickland arms) with the tastiest food! Hence why we have booked for next September!! Absolutely amazing!! David and Caroline Wilbraham

We stopped here overnight on our journey. Lovely site with lots of mature trees and a riverside walk for our dog. Really helpful staff and beautifully clean facilities. We will definitely be back for a longer stay. Thanks

Stunning site amongst trees with lots of hide-away pitches. Spotless, and very friendly wardens. Lovely walk to a farm shop too

CAMC site about 5 miles south of Kendal. Most pitches are under trees which makes it seem dark. Toilet blocks are some distance from the pitches. Well maintained by the wardens
