So much to love about Badgells Wood! I've been searching for a quiet, wooded campground in the UK ever since moving from the States, and Badgells Wood far exceeded my expectations. Karina and her team are excellent and thoughtful hosts!

We stayed in the adults-only Great Park Wood area and loved that it was quiet but still nearby the parking area (5-minute walk), compostable toilets (clean and tidy), and washing up/shower facility (ideal for the camp kitchen dishes). There were plenty of wheelbarrows for bringing our kit to/from the site and the pathways were easy to navigate.

The Great Park Wood pitches, each with delightful names, had plenty of woodland between them for privacy and in early May, the bluebells were such a site to see, blanketing the ground everywhere. Our pitch, Dragonfly, includes a wooden picnic table, and Karina shared that they were just about to distribute more tables to pitches that didn't have them.

The reception office offers plenty of local goodies (cookies, crisps, drinks) and we thought it was a generous amount of firewood and kindling for the price. We didn't take advantage of the local pizza or beer delivery, but it's certainly nice to have as an option!

We LOVED the Forest Bathing session with Kate. I highly recommend scheduling it towards the beginning of your stay, it really connected us to nature in a meaningful way. We decided to spend our time at the campsite reading and playing Scrabble, but there are plenty of walks in the area that sounded delightful. Next time we will definitely walk to the Coldrum Stones, built and used over 1000 years before Stonehenge! In the Alltrails app, search for "Coldrum Circular" to find the complete hike.

We can't wait to return to Badgells Wood and can't recommend it enough for anyone who loves tent camping in the woods.

Amazing campsite, it was so peaceful here! There's a lovely food truck there on Fridays, it's well sign posted around the site.
The pitches are very well kept, and the genral store on site has a good stock of the essentials.
We came here to hammock camp and will be returning again 😊

Fantastic campsite ⛺️ nestled in the woods with top quality amenities, it’s ‘off grid’ but that doesn’t mean it’s not gotten everything you need for you and the family.

Took 3 kids and a dog there this weekend and we had a fantastic time, it was also several degrees cooler in the woods, welcome on the second heatwave of the year.

There is a burger van on the Friday night you can prebook, it’s close to the main road for travel around Kent and ultimately a great place to reenergise and relax.

The team at the reception/shop are very friendly and to hand to answer queries.

Love it here! Have been multiple times, best hammock camping experience I've had was in there adult only section,it was surprisingly quiet. I've also been to the family plots a few times and can highly recommend it. Composting toilets, showers and a washing up area. Look out for events throughout the year, bushcraft was enjoyed by all and Halloween is always a blast!

Nice woodland campsite. Good facilities but still feels wild. Decent fire pits to use with parking close to the pitches. Also has some great walks directly from the site.

Such a lovely place for camping that meets everyone requirements. Went with friends, 2 were sleeping in hammocks and 2 of us in a campervan and got a great patch to fit us all with a picnic table and fire pit per pitch.
They had eco toilets well spread across the forest which were not far away from any pitch.
There is lots of different fun activities whether making wicker baskets or archery so something for all of the family.

Really awesome and unique camping experience!

We were given our own plot in the woods with the nearest other campers being ~20-25 meters away. Our camping plot wasn't accessible by car (it was in the middle of a heavily wooded area) so we had a 5 minute walk from the car with our stuff. The site offers free wheel barrows, which are available from reception, to help move your belongings.

There are showers and cleaning facilities available on site. Each plot has a firepit but you're not supposed to burn wood found around the campsite so make sure you purchase some from reception.

There are some great walks a short distance from the campsite and take your choice for local charming pub.

Great campsite in a beautiful woodland setting. We've been a couple of times with a camper van, though the campsite's own bell tents look like a really nice set up. The site has been very thoughtfully laid out, lovely winding paths amongst the trees leading you to the various pitches. Some great activities too (archery to forest mindfulness). Nice walk to a decent pub too!
