Roundhill Campsite

Great campsite right in the new forest.
No electric hook up but does have hot showers and toilets.
Also drinking water and chemical waste dump.

Think it's the only campsite with the animals roaming around your pitch.. Horses and donkeys like to nick some food if its in snout reach..
Even seen them tent raiding!!

Can get a bit busy in school holidays and Bank Holidays. But overall it a nice site... Dogs welcome also.

One of the best campsites of ever been to. Lots of open spaces with animals wondering through. Friendly staff and clean facilities. There's no electric hook up but if camping is what your after it's perfect.

Beautiful place to camp, we love it . Beautiful woods there and lots of wild horses and cows roaming around. The only thing that lets this campsite down is the very old and basic toilet and shower facilities, seriously in need of repair and refurbishing!

We had a fantastic weekend at Roundhills in June 2022. The site is very laid back and perfect for a chilled out weekend and of course the sun making an appearance helped. The access road through the village is a little tight but manageable in any size of unit. The site itself has no electric hookups or defined pitches so it is perfect for self contained larger units or American RV's. There are no toilet or shower blocks so you need to be self contained but there are plenty of chemical toilet disposal points, drinking water fill points and bins. The wardens were very welcoming and chatty. All in all it's five stars from me.

As for reviews saying no tents this is not true. All units are welcome at Roundhill. We saw vans yes but just as many tents. Yes you need your own toilet. Not a problem. We in fact prefer it like this as the site is so much quieter.
Have had a few lovely stays at Roundhill this year.

This used to be a great camp site and we visited for many years. The company who runs it have now closed the toilet blocks, so it is for motor homes only. Tents (real camping) are no longer welcome. There are a high number of other sites in the New Forest, run by the same company, that are also “van only”. This company seem to only be interested in running Trailer Parks. Disgraceful.

Nice open campsite. Free to park anywhere, lots of space. No fear of someone camping too close. Quiet and peaceful. Friendly check-in. But do be aware you need to have your own toilet.

Great space to pitch a tent or caravan. Loads of animals and great walks. Well located in the New Forest but remember that there is no electric hook up or toilets.
