What an idyllic place, so peaceful. Phil and Katy really friendly. Before check in time, we dropped cool bag off and Phil very kindly filled our mini fridge up with our drinks so they would be chilled when we returned from our trip out. Loved the animals, great to see pony and goats wandering around freely. Geese were noisy. We were initially a bit concerned they would wake us in morning but we were up before them 😂 Just a really chilled out place. Red Lion pub nearby excellent food. Definitely be back if in area. Thanks guys for a great stay

Brilliant stay!!
We were a couple with a small dog staying in a tent. The campsite was small but with plenty of space owing to the allocated plots. We received a welcome pack via email including a cute drawn map for us to get our bearings of the site and also the local area including footpaths. Our plot was amply sized. You are surrounded by trees but depending on where you are situated, you will get morning or evening sun but we often sat in the middle - everyone was very friendly especially the owner, Phil. The showers were electric, hot and clean as were the flushing toilets. There is a small car park a stone's throw from the pitches for you to hide your car away from the tent - a big plus in my book! The local area is quite with a few footpaths nearby. There are 2 pubs within walking distance but I would more than recommend the Three Legs microbrewery which is a 15/20 min walk from the site through the wheat fields. Apparently, they are only open on Fridays and Saturdays but if you can, do pay a visit for delicious fresh beer, cheese and olives. The site is 15 mins drive from Rye, Hastings and Merriments Gardens which we visited whilst we were there. The only thing I would suggest is a mirror in the bathroom. Overall, this was a great place to stay and well worth a visit!

For £20 a night this is more than value for money. Great toilet and showering facilities, on a quiet site. Lovely for the kids to have the animals roaming around and a perfect spot to explore Rye and Hastings from. Super friendly and efficient hosts top it all off wonderfully.

Lovely place. Clean, well looked after, not too crowded, and very helpful staff. The animals roaming around is a great touch. Well located for a lot of great activities too. Highly recommended.

Quiet small site with great access to local walks and a couple of great pubs nearby. It was very quiet at night and the toilets were clean with a recently modernised shower and toilet block. Will certainly be heading back again for another stay.

Booked in as cycling campers and managed to get a corner of this friendly, compact campsite. Owner was helpful and guided us to a picturesque walk across fields to the local pub for an evening meal. We visited Spike Milligan’s grave and house at nearby Winchelsea the next day. Probably my favourite campsite of our south coast tour so far.

Had a bit of difficulty last night due to the snow and was a last minute thing. The owners were more than happy to help and did everything to make me feel welcome and cared for. Although i didnt end up staying. I am very thankful to have had this option
