Gatwick Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite

As always clean and tidy new warders since we where last there and again very helpful and friendly. The only reason for 4 star's are the planes but I quite like them

Almost didn't book this site due to negative reviews, but so glad I didn't listen to them. Sure, you can hear planes, but if those people who marked the site down for that hadn't noticed, it's next to a frickin' airport!! In all honesty, the noise was hardly intrusive. Probably not suitable if you want to sleep late every morning, but we found it to be fine. The site is clean and tidy, with plenty of money being spent on new tarmac roads. The gravel pitches were huge! Good facilties with all the water and waste utilities in one place. Plenty of toilets and showers. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very welcoming! Site is secure with key card access at all times. We used the site as a jump off point for my partner undergoing training at the airport. I spent my time cycling around the area west and north of the airport. Beautiful scenery and a great choice of pubs. Nearest pub about 20mins walk past the west end of the runway. Less than £10 each way for an uber into Crawley where there are shops, restaurants and pubs. Great site for plane spotting if you keep to the west end of the runway. All in all, a nice 4 nights. Don't let the negative reviews put you off.

Staff Jeff and Carol and so rude. It's one rule for one and not for the other.

To speak to customer in the way they did they do not deserve to still have their job.

We used a caravan and motorhome wash point to be aggressively confronted saying it wasn't for site customers, even though i had seen customers staying at the site using it.

Apparently it's for the storage section of their site, however absolutely no signs to say this.

Very very loud due to the planes.

Will not be returning

Site is well spaced out and listening to the aircraft ✈ 🛩 is so relaxing an therapeutic 🧘🏼🧘.

The grounds are kept beautiful 🌳

We store our camper here, so haven’t stayed but we intend to, just to watch the planes!
The site is immaculate, beautifully kept the staff are always really helpful and friendly.

Our fault really but we absolutely hated it here 😪 thankfully only 1 night ! Planes were literally taking off and landing every 90 seconds from 6am - 11pm it was awful, can't imagine why anyone would want to stay here on holiday unless they're plane spotters !! Site itself was nice and staff were very helpful and friendly it was just in the wrong place....

Spacious clean tidy, don't stop here if you don't want to live next to a working runway! However at 2300 there is an effective noise reduction mandate, traffic is negligible, so you can sleep. Starts again at 0600.

Stayed here as I couldn't move in to our new home due to vendor dragging their heels, staff were rude and their rules are pathetic " not allowed to book you in 20 mins early because by law we have to have our lunch" then spent 15 minutes being lectured about covid which was both unnecessary and unwelcome. Typical bossy stuck up club site wardens, no choice of pitch ( they were virtually half full). The visit was depressing dog field is extremely soft and one corner is where they dump all the grass and hedge trimmings. I had a base pitch many years ago wardens were miserable then too.
