Lovely relaxing site, be aware only a few pitches have electricity so be sure to book and confirm if you want hook up. Toilets are functional and clean. Does exactly what it says on the tin. If you want showers and a clubhouse it's not for you. If you want to relax and recharge its almost perfect.

Fabulous little gem of a campsite .20 mins from home .Very secure with big gate stopping undesirables entering .2 toilets if you need them but no shower .Well kept field grass kept short ,nice dog walk area .Brenda the warden is a lovely lady and can do enough for you .Perched at side of river where you can fish ,Elvaston Castle a 10 min walk away and just over railway bridge a disused canal tow path where you can walk into derby .Plenty of shops for your every need in Borrowash 10 min walk or asda 10 min drive .All in all a perfect site for a lazy weekend

Phoned here a couple of times by accident because I have CPTSD my memory is not good. The lady rung me up giving me loads of abuse on the phone claiming we were travellers, we are not and it was a simple mistake. I wouldn't recommend coming here if that's her attitude on the phone then it is likely that it will be her attitude though your hole holiday, plenty of other nicer camping sites in Darbyshire

Ideal for Cambridge, good facilities close to free Park and Ride, also waitrose
just round the corner. Will go there again

Lovely, friendly site. Brenda, the owner met us on arrival. Great sized pitches, very tidy site. Dog walk is a great bonus and plenty of water surrounding the site. Hubby enjoyed the fishing. Definitely will be going back.

Lovely location next to river, friendly helpful owner. Good flat pitxhes, EE and Vodafone signal ok. TV signal good. £10 a night for motorhome and £3 electric. Slightly noisy road and no recycling would be the only negative I would give it.
