We love this campsite! Really generous pitches, helpful and knowledgable staff, excellent location for exploring the river. We stayed for four nights over the Jubilee weekend. The site was full but it didn’t feel crowded. This was already a return visit and we will be back again.

It’s a lovely well managed campsite with 2 pubs in walking distance (one by boat if you prefer ) we stayed in the swan wild camping pitch, it is massive, loads of room to relax and have a peaceful stay. Facilities are excellent and clean, staff are so friendly and inviting, we hired some kayaks on our second day and paddled round to the pub, it was so much fun we hired a canoe the next day, then a paddle board after that. We stayed in 3 campsites in Norfolk for an 8 day holiday - this one was without doubt the best! We will define return! 😊

Absolutely loved the visit with the kids here today. We didn't pitch, but certainly had a paddle in the rowing boat (never rowed in my life) and after a somewhat questionable start (more on my skills than anything else we were off!) The children absolutely loved it and all the staff that I dealt with on the phone and on site were amazing and completely approachable. Everyone staying/paddling here were also super friendly.

We enjoyed it so much on returning tommorow for another go (in something a bit smaller this time)

In a world full of negativity I feel that these places offering such a positive and fun experience/place to stay should be shared far and wide.

Certainly found somewhere I will be returning to and it was well worth the hour drive there & back.

Well done to everyone involved here.

Such a tranquil and beautiful spot where there is good space all around on every pitch, fantastic showers and loos just as you would have at home, dog friendly, activity on the river I'd you wish it, or on bicycles should you prefer. Everyone with a riverside pitch has there own picnic tables. A shop for amazing ice creams and essentials, in fact whether you wish to ju St hang or paddle this is definitely the pl e to be. You can even swim in the river with jetties and purpose built steps provided, at you own risk of course but then you would expect it any other way. A breath of fresh air

Amazing customer service. We had to cancel our booking due to an injury and Jodi has been absolutely amazing! Really helpful and friendly. We are looking forward to actually being able to go and as their service has been outstanding I have already asked our friends to join us next year! Would recommend!!!

This is a lovely little campsite in a fantastic location, the staff are so helpful and facilities amazing (4 individual bathrooms just like you find at home with walk-in showers and 2 basic toilets for the campers and day visitors/watercraft hirers) although you may have to queue for quite a while a peak times.
We really enjoyed our time (summer holidays 2022) here but a few things to note....

Firstly it's the most expensive campsite we EVER stayed at in over 20 years of camping but location and facilities are fabulous especially if you have watercraft or want to hire them.   Location, location, location!!!

There are not enough facilities for the campers and day visitors at very peak summer holiday times.  However they are improving the site as they go. The bathrooms in particular are really nice.

Launching from your pitch can be a little difficult due to the steep banks and tide (about half a metre) but there are at least 3  communal pitch/swim points on site.

Some pitches (check the map/waterside ones up to pitch 8) are multiple pitches with extra electric hook-up so groups can use one pitch despite the 'no groups in high season rule'. This also means that despite the emailed instructions there is no 6m fire safety distance between tents/caravans between some pitches as they are completely full to the edges with tents/gazebos/vehicles. Eg one pitch we saw had 2 massive tents, 2 gazebo's and 4 cars on it!

There is a 10 pm curfew but this is not adhered to. But all was quiet by 11 and we had reminders via Whats
App to be quiet by 10 from the owners and they were available if there was an issue with night noises.

Every pitch is MASSIVE and has its own wooden picnic bench! They are in the process of growing hedges to the pitch boundaries, which are currently about half a metre high.

The on site shop sells milk, local ice cream, eggs and you can order bread/pastries and they have a pizza van on site once a week in the summer. It's not your typical site shop!

There are 2 pubs a 10-20 minute walk away, both serve food. One can be paddled to. There are no shops in the local village but many in Beccles, 3 miles away. Walkable along quiet country lanes. Beccles also has a outdoor swimming pool.

This site is not one to come to if your kids run around shouting and playing ball games or if you want to sit out till late drinking, as that is not allowed.

If you're into SUP, kayaking etc this is the place for you. It has two slipways into the river Waveney. You can also hire SUP and boats here too.
As a campsite it had all we needed. A clean and quiet site with not too many pitches. The shower / toilet area was good and was cleaned regularly.

Water front pitch not really worth the extra as it's just a wee cut. Nice toilets but perhaps not enough at busy times of day. Quiet though and very peaceful.
