Wantisden Park

Liked: The site is situated deep within the countryside surrounded by fields, forest and grassland with lakes. Lots of lovely walks, ideal for dog owners. The former USAF bases of Woodbridge and Bentwaters are either side and often used by British Apache helicopters to practise their moves. Great for aircraft buffs! The toilet/shower block was spotless clean, roomy and everything worked nicely. The café served a super tasty breakfast using local produce. Check the opening times is advised.
The site managers and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Free Wi fi worked well.
With lots to do in the local area, it's a lovely site and one we will visit again.

Disliked: Not a dislike but something to consider. The caravan/campervan hook up pitches are definitely on a good slope. For our caravan this was not a problem as the pitch we had was large so plenty of room to find a spot to get level. Campervans will defo need to bring levelling blocks.

Liked: Wantisden Park is set in a beautiful location in the countryside close enough though to local attractions and seaside towns. The site was spacious and well cared for. Pitch sizes were generous. We stayed in a wooden tent which was lovely and had just what you needed for a camping trip without the hassle of putting up a tent. Toilets and showers were kept sparkling clean and well stocked. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend it.

Liked: Really liked the park.
In the middle of a peaceful location lots of great dog walks from the site. Shower facilities were great for families as they were individual wet room with toilets.
Saw lots of wild deer. It was lovely waking up to to bird song.

Staff are really friendly and always available to help.

Liked: Very spacious pitches, clean toilets and showers, nice cafe and shop on site, off the track so no road noise, lovely walks around the area, great location, the ground was nice and firm (bring decent pegs, and choks as the ground has a slight slope) all round lovely place. Would definitely return and would highly recommend to anyone of all ages.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike here!

Liked: Very nice campsite for us. Great base for exploring a really beautiful area. LOVED being next to the forest, with access to walks directly from the campsite. Good shower block and amenities for washing up/washing, and very friendly welcome. Lovely for dogs too, because of the access to walks. Liked that if felt remote, without being too difficult to find, or get to. Will be going back, hopefully, in the autumn.

Liked: Owner very friendly and helpful. We were shown where everything was on arrival. Generous pitch space and less sloping than expected. Shower and toilet facilities were great! Nice and clean and no queues to use them! We enjoyed exploring the lakes next to the campsite with our dog.

Perfect for dog owners or less experienced campers. The WiFi was an added bonus!

Liked: Wonderful stay in a tent with electricity. Camp site quite isolated, therefore quiet, down a gravel road. It's next to woods and has big ponds /areas of water. Also the sea is nearby. It is v near Sutton Hoo.
The sandy soil was good for pushing in tent pegs!
Loved the clean and individual shower and toilet rooms including 'normal' toilet rolls rather than those dispensers where it's hard to get paper out! Also liked disinfectant wipes were available to spot clean.
Has a cafe and shop with a variety of supplies.
Utility room was good for washing dishes with loads of hot water.

Disliked: Be aware that the tent field with electricity is sloped but the pitch we had was good, with only a v slight slope. WiFi was patchy but no problem for us.

Liked: Beautiful site run by kindly friendly people. Peaceful surrounded by nature and amazing walks from the site in every direction. Lovely cafe if you don’t fancy cooking - great coffee and cake. Clean showers.

Disliked: Nothing to not like!
