The Homestead

Lovely back to basics, natural campsite.
We were given a choice of were to set up and just left to our own devices, very relaxed and welcoming staff.
Generous pitches with a lovely woodland behind.
Plenty of room for the children to run around and play.
The toilet facilities were a bit on the small side but they were very clean.
We booked again for a few weeks time as we left.

Visited here twice. Very peaceful, lovely grounds. Importantly lovely clean toilets and showers. If you don't fancy old fashioned camping. They have beautiful Yurts - with double bed and beautiful furnishings and they also have a trad romany wooden caravan with mod cons amazing!.

Very disappointed. I understand it is a work in progress but to have a sink with no running water, let alone hot water to wash your dishes is not acceptable. Also x 2 toilets & 2 showers for over 20 units very poor. We felt £30 a night and then have to pay for electric on top of that was a bit over the top.
Bear in mind also under a direct flight path next to the airport.No shops in walking distance.
Be aware of No speed limit on the site.

On the plus side, not a bad location, 15minutes drive to Bournemouth and an excellent chip shop in the village.

Liked: the bell tent was spacious , the tent area was well laid out , my son was able to mix with other children, friendly crowd. showers and toilet area very clean. the owners were very helpful and friendly. we would go back

Disliked: not that it mattered, we were close to the road, the planes taking off where noisy but not enough flights to worry about, my son loved watching the planes anyway lol

Just got back from our second stay. Such a lovely family run campsite. Both times toilets and showers have been spotless and well maintained. Have seen others say only 2 toilets and showers but we never had to wait to go at any point so I think more than enough and there was never a queue despite being booked out. Staff were very polite and friendly. Lovely field for the children to play football and made friends with lots of other campers all playing together. the whole place has such a chilled lovely feel to it. We had the best time and can’t wait to go back again. I would recommend to anyone with a family wanting a nice get away.

Stayed at Homestead for a long weekend and cannot recommend enough, set in beautiful surroundings & family run, this campsite is ideal for a relaxing break or to visit one the many local attractions. The owners go out of their way to accommodate all your needs, the toilets & showers are spotless and regularly cleaned & maintained, one of the friendliest sites i have ever stayed on and with added bonus of set in acres of beautiful woodland. Definitely will be booking again.

Liked: Great place to stay central to everything. Plenty of shops near by. Easy to catch a bus into Bournemouth.
Although only one female and one male shower we all managed to get a hot shower each morning without queuing.

Liked: The bell tent was clean and spacious.
The cute fairy lights were a nice touch.

Disliked: The kids were comfortable on the futon beds but said they were cold as the sleeping bags were thin ,so take extra blankets.
