We had a wonderful three evenings at Bryn Y Bwyd and the weather was very kind to us.

Although we didn't see anyone on arrival, we noticed our names on a board telling us where our pitch was.

The campsite is idyllic and hidden away. Quite a gem really.

The toilets and showers were lovely and clean.

We will definitely be returning to this wonderful site.

Fabulous campsite excellent facilities friendly owners. Location Fabulous will be returning. I got over it being set back but I am road sensitive. Trust me this campsite is a gem. Beach, train, platform close and excellent woodland walk to the lakes. To top it off Fabulous pub best food in the area of Barnmouth

Just had 2 weeks camping at Bryn-y-Bwyd. Absolutely loved it! Facilities were great and cleaned regularly. The view of the sea and glorious sunsets were fab. It’s a 10-15 minute walk to long sandy beach. Plenty of other things to do near and far. Great pub food a short walk away and fish and chips in the caravan ark too! Will go again!

A lovely well-kept campsite with plenty of space for our two kids to play with their newfound friends in. About 2-3 miles from the centre of Barmouth.
Showers and toilets are in an immaculately clean purpose-built annexe with plenty of space and a light and airy feel to them. My wife said they were the nicest she’d seen, and there was a gentleman cleaning them before most of the campers had even woken up.
Pitches are a good size, though most of them do slope gently which isn’t a problem with a caravan or camper. We were in a tent so a little more planning was required in layout.
There is a road nearby, but traffic noise was not intrusive and certainly didn’t stop any of us sleeping.
Will definitely visit again.

Run by an amazing family who made us feel welcome from when we arrived to when we left . Absolutely incredible view. Facilities are spotless. Best family holiday I have been on in years.

Hunny and I visited last August (sorry I'm so late posting!) in a 7m x 6m tent and afte readign teh reviews we didn't know what to expect but what a lovely peaceful site! I'm VERY fussy with my toilets but these were lovely and very well maintained, even when treated disrespectfully by some people (and not all were tenters!) you may be on holiday but that doesn't mean to say that your morals should be! Showers were gorg. The campsite is easily accesible it's not the flatest of sites but where there's a will there's a way! Don't expect to be greeted by red t-shirt hosts as this site is very laid back but just a call or quick email and you have someone on hand to help. Beautiful views across the sea and a quick stroll over the road, through a field (not sure if it's an official public right of way but we were told the farmer didn't mind - be mindful of animals and keep dogs on a lead please) and you will find yourself in the middle of another campsite ( mainly statics) this will lead you to a road that goes direct to the pebble beach as well as bars, restaurants, fast food venues and a club house. There is also a train station down this way which is handy but check the timetable before you travel! The roads around the campsite aren't really for walking too far as they are narrow in places and then just disappear as welsh roads do lol. Public transport is very hit and miss but then your on vacation so there's no need to rush is there! There's no food/drink provisions on site or close by (nearest was down by the beach - and they cash in on the exclusivity) so plan ahead and make sure you are stocked up each day, hubby had to drive to fetch milk one morning which proved costly!
There were a few people that had complaints about this site but we had none what so ever and I'm picky! If a field in the beautiful welsh air with lovely hill walks, peace and quite with lovely views, fabulous waterfalls near by and bird/bat/star gazing are what you desire you won't be disappointed! There's a lovely pub (Ysgethin Inn) to the right of the campsite that is very unassuming from the front, however, it's clean and friendly always busy (booking recommended) and has the most delightful garden area which overlooks the river. You'd have to judge for yourself if you thought it was walkable depends how brave you are in the dark with justa torch to warn passing vehicle - we didn't attempt it and I definitely wouldn't with children! BUT just go in the day or early evening then go back to the site and do what camping is all about, playing with the kids, interacting with fellow campers and chilling! We truly hope to return. Thanks Bryn-Y-Bywd for giving us a great week.

What an absolutely fabulous site!!! Sadly we only booked two nights, but we wished it had been longer. It’s an exceptionally well maintained, organised and well equipped, dog friendly campsite, perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding areas (be sure not to miss the stunning beaches).

The site is cleaned to the highest standard, which is something that is really important for me. Pitches are also well spaced out, which gives you lots of privacy from your neighbours, unlike some other sites. It has a relaxed, quiet and friendly atmosphere….the perfect place to unwind! The owners are fantastic and are super helpful with anything you need. Big thank you from us 😁.

The views at sunset are spectacular and if you enjoy a takeaway, we definitely recommend Tony’s which is operating on a click and collect basis, just a short drive away.

If I could give this site more than 5⭐️ I would!!!! Hope we can return soon and highly recommend to anyone considering it!

We've just had 3 really enjoyable night at this beautiful site, lovely friendly helpful owners that are working extremely hard all the time . Toilet and shower facilities or great again kept really clean and tidy. Pub and takeaway about a 10 min walk along the road and the beach is around 20min , there is also a railway station around 10mins that you can use to go to Barmouth and other places of interest.
