Just spent two wonderful and relaxing nights at the campsite. The place is beautiful and there's plenty of space to pitch up and chill out. Loads of fire pits dotted around if your looking to have a campfire. Had a little explore on foot in the evenings and found paths leading up into the hills across the other side of the train line. Toilets are a great feature and clean. Not sure if there are any fresh water outlets on site to fill water bottles, perhaps I didn't spot them. Highly recommend campsite if your looking to unwind. This could be my new favourite campsite, looking forward to returning.

Liked: Beautiful location near the river with a wonderful swimming spot not far downstream. We liked having the option of staying in the car-free area as this zone was quiet even on a busy Friday/Saturday night. Toilet block was small but seemed sufficient as never had to wait.

Disliked: Manager not present at time of check-in which is fine, but some guidance on what to do in these circumstances would be appreciated.

Liked: Great campsite located in Snowdonia.

I chose mainly due to it being bang in the middle of the two Zipworld locations me & my son were visiting.

I pitched up next to the river. My son loved the rope swing someone had setup right by the river, we skimmed stones for hours too!

I used a firepit that i took with me. (although they have them on site to use)

Such a lovely setting, i could've quite easily stayed longer than one night!

I'm with 3 network & had plenty of signal on my mobile. No wifi on site but thats a good thing, get off your phone!!

Disliked: I knew in advance that there was no shower/wash block (it did say online that this was closed during covid but didnt see one anywhere!) so would'nt practically be able to stay there for more than a few nights at most with kids which is a shame.

Would certainly stay longer if there was a wash block.

Toilet block is basic but very doable.

Liked: The beautiful location and peacefulness. We were expecting a midgie haven like Scotland so we came prepared with nets but it wasn’t half as bad as we expected and didn’t need to wear them after dark so we had a lovely camp fire with the sound of rushing water. They sold logs a fiver a sack which is cheap compared to other campsites we had been to..This is a back to nature campsite with a basic toilet block and one hot tap for washing however we all bathed in the gorgeous river.
There’s a no music policy which we loved as we enjoyed the peacefulness and star gazed by our fire. There was info on the boards that anyone causing a disturbance would be asked to leave so this was defo the place for us as we wanted peace! It had a wild camping feel which is what we were after. There’s lots of friendly sheep in the field too which the kids loved. We will definitely be back as it’s a perfect location- 10 mins from betys coed and 30 mins from Watkins path. Thanks you so much to the lovely kind hosts! This is our new favourite campsite!!!

Would give more stars if I could it's located in the most PERFECT 🥰 of places, we pitched up right on the river. Its so stunning, the owners so trusting and nice, and the site is kept well. Lovely and basic practically feels like wild camping. Beautiful starry night sky, stunning views, stunning water to play in whether its jumping in, paddling or nice swim. Just perfect, my favourite campsite yet and I've been many xx

Liked: The scenery was stunning. Freedom to pitch wherever we liked. Beautiful walks. Super friendly host, very informative. Campfire and bbq allowed absolutely perfect.

Disliked: The amount of sheep sh*t, but given it’s a sheep farm 🤷‍♀️ And when it began to rain the gnats where abundant but I took jungle formula, so not a huge issue, where there’s water you’re gunna get gnats!

The most incredible campsite. Beautiful setting with a stream running through it. We showered with natural soaps in there. Lovely little toilet block with toilets and sinks, always clean. So peaceful and quiet. Will definitely be returning!

Liked: The location of the campsite is beautiful, and the relatively laid back environment of being essentially left to your own devices to find a pitch etc is nice. The fire pits placed around the campsite is a great idea, and the site itself was incredibly spacious.

Disliked: Lack of a shower makes it hard to stay for more than a day or two.
