Lakeside Leisure Campsite

Basically wild camping with some comfort. One toilet and one hot shower on premises. Washing up area a bit strange but working. No electricity whatsoever. Some solar "lamps", that's all. Bring flashlight for shower/toilet in the evening / night. The lake and creek make for a very nice venue. Fires in the evening for some of the 15 numbered pitches possible.

Lakeside Leisure Campsite is a stunning little campsite. The natural beauty is amazing, the facilities are basic but immaculate. For back to nature camping this is the spot. A lovely lake, wildlife, a little river running alongside. Just a beautiful place. The owners can't do enough to help. Very friendly.

Spent 3 nights on the Private island pitch. When we arrived, Bradley the owner met us and showed us where things were. He had already set up the fire ready for a campfire and left a lighter. Really nice guy who was extremely welcoming and helpful. The pitch is for 8 adults, had its own campfire area, bench, makeshift table and old barbecue which we used to put disposable barbeques on to cook. Chemical private toilet for use on the island too which was very useful as well as another 1 x toilet and also 1 x shower just a short walk away; both very clean. Great pitch on island surrounded by trees so very sheltered and even though weather was bad, the wind didn't really affect the pitch. Bit muddy but to be expected in the rain. There is a Co-op 20 minute walk down a single track road and we were also able to order take away to the site which was great as none of us could drive. Would definitely return to this site and the Private island was great because we could play music and not worry about disturbing other campers. The surrounding area in the campsite was very picturesque. Thank you for a great, fun camping experience.

Stunning location i went with my daughter and young grandchildren the toilet and shower area was immaculate, we were in plot 5 with direct access to the river which was beautiful.
The owner of the site was very helpful and nothing was to much trouble for him with plenty of chopped logs for the fire pits which were on each pitch.
Easy access to local amenities, we ordered fish and chips from local shop in st clears who delivered to the tent
Will definitely be going back to that site.

Lakeside leisure cancelled our holiday on the day we were meant to arrive and said they would refund us and never did. Also cancelled my mother in laws booking and never refunded her either. They wont reply to any emails or answer our phone calls. Very disappointed and angry that they can take someone's money like that.

Stayed here many many times over the last couple of years, one of our favourite camp sites in south Wales

terrible, storm francis ruined our tent when the site flooded. still waiting for refund the owner only answered the phone when he wanted to which was no help at all

We stayed for a week and absolutely loved it.. yes it is basic but it was amazing to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The owners were extremely helpful as well. Highly recommend
