Liked: Everything was perfect. A wonderful, friendly welcome and incredible service from the owner Peter- who couldn't do enough for you. The site is a field sitting alongside a main road. We chose to go next to the road to benefit from the afternoon shade provided by the bushes, and to be close to the toilet. We didn't find the road too noisy at all. The toilet blocks are spotless and always stocked with decent toilet roll. There is a shower which isn't very powerful but does the job! Location is fantastic, a microbrewery on site (open 9:00-17:00 - Pale Ale recommended) and a pub across the road (food is OK, beers are cold). A short drive away is Hay on Wye, with a beautiful town centre full of antique shops and book shops, with a wonderful bakery and deli. We went swimming in the Warren which was an amazing experience!! I have already recommended this to family and friends and will be staying here again soon! We were even treated to a starling dance, a fly over from an owl and some bats out for their dinner- incredible!

Disliked: Nothing, it was all great.

Liked: Our host, Pete, was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We were greeted on arrival with a warm welcome and friendly chat which was a great way to start our long weekend! The pitches have been well looked after and were extremely tidy/clean with clean on-site loos and showers to accommodate. We were driving distance from the brecon waterfalls and twice took a 25 minute walk to the local river to swim and relax in clear waters. Would definitely return to this gem!

Disliked: We should have booked for a longer visit.

Liked: Peter the host was more than helpful, very knowledgable of the area, we enjoyed a chat with him. Good level pitches, spotlessly clean toilets and showers. Convenient to pub and garden centre. We enjoyed Hay on Wye and Talgarth. The red kites in Talgarth wait to bed fed, the sight was amazing so many birds. Good location for us as we were visiting family.

Liked: Everything. Pete was a true gent, amazing conversation and couldn’t do enough for us. Great facilities close by and very clean.
We will definitely go back. He made us feel so welcome, even helped my dad with fixing his electrical connection to the caravan which became damaged on route.
Thanks for letting us stay Peter. Rich !

Liked: Superb friendly host where nothing was too much trouble. Centre of village, great pub on door step for food and well stocked garden centre with coffee shop and outdoor seating 2 minutes walk away! Lovely flat pitches and adequate very clean toilet block /shower.

Disliked: Situated on busy Brecon Road but we were aware of this before booking!

Liked: Lovely site.
Peter was very friendly.
Local pub calling The Old Barn Inn was beautiful.
Cows in the field opposite which was lovely to see.
Would recommend for 1st time campers or if you only wanted a couple of nights but I wouldn't choose here again only because there isn't anything for the children if you wanted to stay for longer. We choose to stay closer to the toilet which is also close to the road which can still be busy at night but you do switch off to this. Overall all Lovely site and had a great time. Thank you Peter.

Liked: Lovely site with views of fields and lots of cows. Really friendly people and Peter the owner was very helpful and friendly. Lots littles villages close by to explore.

Disliked: Close to a busy road which could get noisy at times. If on other side of field wouldn’t of been a problem.

Liked: Location of Brecon
Owner was friendly

Disliked: The site was littered with dog poo on arrival, even very close to the water outlet. Trying to keep our three year old away from it was hard work while pitching up. This was resolved the following day with the owner collecting an actual shovel full while we were packing up to leave.
Road noise, but we were aware of this before arrival. Please consider this before booking as the noise was more than we had anticipated.
The toilet and shower block could be improved significantly.

Not enough electric hook up points. We ended up pitching up very close to another tent to be able to reach the hook up point (with a 15m lead too).

We were offered another pitch but this would have been in between a number of caravans which look to have been left there for equity some time and were far from picturesque.
