Liked: Everything. A fabulous, peaceful site in a beautiful part of Wales. Spacious and well looked after pitch with a lovely view of the countryside around. Plenty of space for all our kit and for the kids to play. Great little games area with pool, swing, table tennis and table football and the shower and washing facilities excellent too. The camp owner, Linda is very welcoming and helpful and makes your stay a real pleasure. We would highly recommend this gem of a campsite to either campers or campervanners.

My family & I loved this campsite. It has everything you need and great for dogs. The site is very well kept and the facilities are spotless. The host, Linda, couldn't do enough for us. She and her family work very hard to maintain this lovely site and we will most definitely be returning there.

Liked: Beautiful clean place & owner linda was lovely, welcoming & helpful. It was my first time camping on my own with 2 young boys & I couldn't have picked a better place to go. Loved the games room & tyre swing they kept the boys entertained for hours on end, they had so much fun & we can't wait to come back again soon.

Liked: Simply everything! Quarry Lodge is a little bit of perfection in a hectic world. Linda is the ultimate host! Literally nothing is too much trouble and she's always available for a friendly chat. She also has a wealth of local tips and knowledge that make planning things to do, deciding which beach to visit or finding the best crabbing locations so much easier!

The site is perfectly located so you feel remote and unplugged but just a few miles down the road there's all the shops and modern conveniences you'll ever need. Pitches are level and well drained so setting up (even in torrential rain!) is not arduous. Toilets and showers are immaculately clean at all times and we never queued once.

Around the area you couldn't ask for more places to visit - castles, goldmine, so many beautiful beaches, country houses and the Botanical Gardens to name just a few that we did.

The games room is amazing for children with pool, table football, table tennis, a variety of board games and just as a place where they can go and hang out and make friends. The tyre swing is also a massive hit!! Visiting Buddy the pony was a favourite daily trip for my children. There's a great little dedicated dog walk and longer walks within a stones throw of the campsite. The highlight of our days was the Red Kites and Buzzards who flew over regularly.

We've already booked for next year!

A perfectly maintained campsite in an idyllic setting. The pitches are all beautifully kept, and the facilities are excellent. Toilets and showers all spotless, there is a wonderful personal touch with everything, and Linda was just fab, so friendly and helpful, we really felt welcomed and looked after from start to finish. The games ‘barn’ is great too, the walks within the site are really lovely and the surrounding area is beautiful unspoiled countryside. Despite there being plenty of places to visit locally, we were really happy to stay on site. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, you really can’t go wrong here. It’s the most relaxed and picturesque campsite Ive been to. There are no negative points to mention here at all. We will definitely be going back.

Perfect! The campsite is in a beautiful location, with views across the hills. The grass for pitching tents on is perfectly mown and maintained, so no tics and no stones. But around the edges are beautiful swathes of long grass, wild flowers, and trees, so you feel connected to nature. Lovely Linda and her family are so helpful. When my bicycle got a puncture, Linda drove out to fetch me (having just given another camper a tow when their car broke down). Her son then tried to fix my puncture, and her partner ended up driving me into town. None of this was necessary but it shows the kind of people they are. The showers and toilets are cleaned regularly. There’s a nice slightly ramshackle feel to the whole campsite which is really charming, and fun. There were game tables, which would be especially useful for occupying children. And there’s a friendly horse! I can’t wait to visit again. Thanks so much for everything Linda and family.

Liked: Friendliness and kindness of the owners, their warmth and cheerfulness and the fact they were around a lot of the time was really helpful.
Also, the 'quirkiness' of the site, with a fabulous old green Bedford lorry beautifully done out inside to sleep in, and books/DVDs free to use in the kitchen, kettle free to use in the kitchen, clean showers and loos (and a compost loo) with plenty of hot water , and a super layout of hidden paths through a wooded area to walk dogs.
Also, an area to play table footy, ping pong and pool, all under cover, lit and free to use provided us with hours of fun
Open all year is welcome news
Large pitches and several areas for camping
So very quiet and peaceful, and great views

Linda and Rob are amazing hosts and the campsite is lovely, even when it is raining. They clearly have a passion to make sure their guests have a lovely relaxing holiday.

We only planned on staying 2 nights but ended up being there for 4 nights because we liked it so much.

The covered games area is a nice touch, the toilets and showers are great and cleaned thoroughly and regularly.

Most of the pitches are level and spaced apart so you don't feel crammed in together.

We will definitely keep this as a campsite to return to one day in the future.
