Liked: The site was lovely, well organised and quaint, which we prefer as it means the camp won't get overcrowded. The showers were amazing! Always hot, facilities were overall just excellent. During our stay it was lovely and quiet, we had a very tranquil time and would love to visit again. Also, the dog walking section was perfect, a great idea to let the dogs run loose.

Liked: Lovely quiet spot with recently updated shower facilities. We had a whole level to ourselves. It's clean and tidy. We were only there one night.

Disliked: There was nobody on site to check us in or help with the electrics. We had to phone the owner for assistance. A note on the reception door would have been helpful.

Liked: Everything!!! The place had a new park, which the children loved, really enjoyed the challenges on it! Toilets and showers were spotless, cleanest facilities at a site we have ever used and all guests cleaned up after themselves, which was lovely. It’s such a quiet campsite, for us travelling with a child with autism, was perfect, he was able to enjoy it without all the rowdy crowds that you get at some sites. We booked last minute and left a request for a quiet spot and the owners got back to me straight away, they were fab giving us a spot at the end which was perfect, thank you so much!!!! We will definitely be returning, as the children said best camping experience they have had!!

Liked: The location was convenient and the toilet /shower block was good.

Disliked: The lack of light outside the toilet block. It would be really helpful to have lights, even sensor lights so that you can see where you are going. Especially as it is quite a slope down from the top terrace to the toilet block, lights would be appreciated for those middle of the night trips. Also, it would be helpful to just get a text prior to arrival advising which pitch (or no allocated pitch) rather than having to call.

Liked: Top notch site. All facilities in excellent condition. Pitch is flat. Views are lovely. Even had 5G.

Disliked: The tent pitches are by a road. Not a main road, but cars passing at night are a very slight pain.

Liked: Pretty site, with well stocked and kept flower beds and hedges, beautiful views, clean facilities.

Well appointed childrens' playground, and good dog area, enclosed with seating for owners.

There was an issue with one of the electrical supplies, but they answered the phone quickly and sorted out the issue.

Pitches were level, laundry room clean and tidy, chemical disposal was fine.

There were details of what you could run on 10 amp supply in the laundry room.

During the week we were the only occupants, so it was quiet.

Disliked: As we came out of season, even though the owners knew when we were arriving (1600hrs and within their manned hours), the reception was closed and we saw no-one during our stay. It was a shame, as reviews had mentioned how friendly the site was...

The entrance was narrow and needed patience to negotiate. The drive had sharp bend to the upper and lower levels, which was tricky. Evidence other people found this so, were the damaged planters along the side of the driveway. Think twice if you have a twin axle caravan.

I did not realise how little you could run on a 10 amp supply, I think we must have always chosen sites with bigger supplies previously.

The toilet paper was very robust and took more than one flush to go away, even though there was a good water pressure on the flush. Not everyone would wait to flush twice!

There was no heating in the shower rooms which meant that stripping off for a shower was nippy, not an issue in summer but pretty nippy in autumn and I would imagine, in spring!
