Liked: Fantastic location: beautiful and quiet setting but easily accessible and close to coast, Corfe Castle, Wareham and other places of interest.

Pitch where you want to: No set pitches and plenty of space. Younger families tended to go for the bottom fields, close to facilities; and bigger groups on the top field, with fantastic views.

No check-in or check-out time: Fantastic value for money and no stress!

Horsebox café: fantastic pastries, pasties and other local goodies.

Phone charging facility.

Shower huts: really good, hot showers!

Super friendly owners.

Disliked: We stayed on Bank Holiday weekend so the site was very busy (as expected) with huge pressure on bathroom facilities. There are only two flushing loos, both with showers in the same rooms, so long queues in the morning and evening. There are also eco-loos but the one close to us was somewhat smelly and clearly being used in the mornings by those worse for wear from the night before!

A couple more flushing loos would be useful - or even if the current bathrooms were rearranged to include two toilet cubicles and sinks in one room and two shower cubicles in the other, so that those needing to use the loo or brush teeth etc. aren't delayed by folk having long showers!

Liked: Quiet campsite close to beaches , friendly owners. Liked the fact there was a cafe on site to buy coffee and food. Very affordable too.

Disliked: Not enough showers, especially when 2 showers are in with toilets...so there's only 4 showers on site and 4 toilets, and with everyone wanting showers in morning, hot water ran out very quickly it seemed. Also not ideal that there is not a single bin on site. Mostly and enjoyable pleasant stay though.

Liked: We liked this camping as we had a choice of couple of fields, so we had an opportunity to choose less busy field and a perfect sport for our stay. Clean showers, lots of toilets, they even had two bathrooms, with sinks, showers and toilets all together. There was a small cafe for morning coffee. Beautiful farm. The owner was extremely friendly, he even told us that it was a full moon that night, told us where to look and exactly what time to make the most of our stay. We were allowed to leave anytime, so no rush in the morning. We will definitely come back!

Liked: Everything! Simple, quiet and eco. Quiet campsite with lovely other guests also with young children. 3 different fields - ours closest to the toilets and showers was ideal for families with young children. Close to the Swanage Railway and Corfe Castle. Lovely cafe. Friendly owners. Definitely coming back next year!

Liked: Liked the location and only half an hour from home, visited Tyhnam village, Swanage, Kimmeridge Bay.

Nice and quiet during the day. Jill and her partner were very friendly and knowledgeable. Jill's cafe sells hor drinks with homemade cakes, pasties and pies.
The chickens and Swifts were a joy to watch.
Eco toilets lit at night time. Along with conventional toilets and shower facilities too. Including a washing up area

Wildlife was a joy. Chickens and swifts

Disliked: More shade in the smaller fields by the chickens. Everyone had picked the sheltered side when we arrived. So we were a bit hot.

Noisy road at night time but once asleep didnt notice.

Sign post to top field should be more prominent. We didnt understand how to get there. So went in smaller one

More wildlife please!

Liked: Lovely pitches and clean camp site. Showers were powerful and lovely and warm. Staff friendly and morning croissants and bacon baps were a bonus! This was our second stay and we will definitely be back again!

Disliked: Nothing- it was great all round

We have been to Hartland Stud a number of years and each time the site improves with extra facilities making the stay more enjoyable. This summer another shower block (with hot water) had been added making one of the trickiest parts of camping an even easier thing to do.

The campsite is across a slight dip in a Nature Reserve and has a number of fields to choose from with a different feel to each - with trees, a stream, shelter and open space …. I’m still not still not sure which is our favourite.

The cafe, yoga classes, sitting areas, barns, toilets and shower blocks all have the friendly touch of the owners who look after Hartland and are on site to help.

Whenever we’ve been there adults and families with children seem to be enjoying themselves and getting on well.

Well done.

Liked: Everything about this campsite was great. The people, the facilities and the pastries! Spotless showers, loos and wash area, fab fields and Jill’s horse box cafe sells the most amazing local delicacies. The scenery is something else. Caroline and Phil are super friendly and cannot do enough for you. We will 100% be back next year!
