Liked: Site, Facilities, Owners (Sally & Richard), Ambience, Location, Toilets, Shower, Fridge, Freezer, Honesty Shop, Fire-Logs, Cakes (although we never had a chance to try some it looked amazing), the Local Pub just 1/3 of a mile away, Sunrise, Sunset, the Night Sky, and the Chickens roaming freely.

Good, firm flat ground for vans and tents.

4G (Vodafone) worked well here.

Great base location for exploring the Norfolk Broads and surrounding areas.

Perfect site for novice and experienced campers alike.

We literally loved it all, this is the best campsite we have ever stayed at.

Disliked: Having to leave such a beautiful campsite.

Liked: If I could describe the set up in a few words… Rural, natural, organised with real charm and a VERY relaxed atmosphere.

We loved the honesty shop with wood, kindling, fire lighters and a fridge/freezer for storage shared storage of milk and freezer blocks etc. the shower block/toilet and separate toilet was well stocked and clean. The external washing up facilities were very helpful.

This is a fantastic site for young children to experience and explore. There were so many little areas… Play house, swamp trail, trampoline, rope swings… There were also lights strung up here and there that really brought the place to life at night. It was magical.

The hosts were warm and welcoming. Very helpful and inviting without being intrusive.

We are also motorcyclists, although it was a family visit for us in the car, we’d definitely come back on the bikes. Excellent

Disliked: The shower was temperamental if others were washing up outside.

Liked: Loved it all! A lovely, quiet small site. Facilities are beautifully rustic : a shower, loo and wash basin and a separate toilet in the old outhouse, with bunches of fresh flowers. There is an honesty store of essentials, with fridge/freezer electric point to charge mobiles, etc. and even complimentary tea, coffee and squash!

Richard, Sally and her mother have really thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable.

Thank you for a memorable few days.

Liked: We just had the most relaxed few days in this delightful little campsite. The weather was glorious, which also helps and owners Sally and her partner had thought of everything to make the stay wonderful. They make great breakfast rolls on Sunday mornings. Even though they were out of veggie sausages, Sally made my daughter a delicious warm mushroom & tomato bap, which went down very well! All the facilities, are kept extremely clean and even though there are 2 toilets and 1 shower and one washing-up area, we rarely had to wait very long, if at all to use them. We had no problems with the pressure being low in the shower and it was hot and plenty long enough.
It was lovely to be able to share the use of a fridge and freezer with fellow campers along with the use of the honesty shop for fresh eggs. There was also everything you need for a campfire in the evening, including fire pit, logs, kindling, fire lighter and marshmallows. It wasn't a problem that we didn't have cash as we just did a bank transfer to Sally.
Sally also provides a lovely looking homemade cake on Saturday afternoons, which you can pay for by the slice.
Southwold was a 20 minute drive away and we also visited the wonderful Thorington Amphitheatre, set in woodlands only 15 minutes from the campsite.
We can't wait to come back again and will definitely NOT be telling anyone about this secret hideaway hidden in deepest, sunny Suffolk.

Liked: Everything! This is such a beautiful little campsite. We were first time campers and absolutely loved it. The setting is so peaceful but my little boy (9 years old) loved the trampolines, tree swings, woods and just lots of space to run around. The facilities are amazing with easy access to a toilet, showers, outdoor washing up and a lovely little honesty shop. You could also hire firepits which we will hopefully do next time. It is within walking distance of a lovely little village/pub/park and great for dog walks. Halesworth is not far by car and has some lovely little shops. We got some wood fired pizzas from Halesworth and took them back to camp. Cannot wait to visit again and hopefully for longer next time as we could only do a short trip this time due to work commitments. Owner is extremely friendly and welcoming but lets you get on with your stay which is lovely. Loved it.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Quiet and pretty, outstandingly clean facilities, lots for the children to play with - my daughter loved the play house! The little store shop was really helpful too. Big pitches, not over crowded at all would definitely come again.

Disliked: Lots of flies in the area (obviously not the campsite’s fault and they sold fly strips in the store)
Quite far to the nearest decent shop or supermarket.

What a gem of a campsite. A friendly welcome was followed up a beautifully quiet 'back to basics' campsite. The facilities were spotlessly clean and every need was catered for. The honesty store had all of the essentials in including fire pits, logs, charcoal, food and snacks and even a kettle for general use. We loved that the campsite was very keen on recycling and the sorting of rubbish was made very easy with the different bins provided. We cannot recommend this little site enough for a quiet break away and will definitely look forward to returning again in 2023

Liked: Beautiful small campsite. With rustic play area for children. Lovely rustic style toilets and shower with mains running water and normal flushing toilet. We loved the little personal touches like fresh flowers in the toilets. Cake available on a Saturday, order breakfast baps on a Sunday. It made the campsite feel very friendly and welcoming. The campsite is also situated a short walk away from a lovely community run pub and children's village playground.
We enjoyed sitting around our fire pit in the evening, which was very welcome in October. There are lots of footpaths so great for dogs.
