Bought a car here a few weeks ago which we are very pleased with. We had a few teething issues which were not the fault of the garage and they dealt with it with friendly courtesy. All problems sorted now and a big thanks to Richard, Lee and Phil for their help and service. Would recommend them and use them again.

I just bought a car from this place , its never been that easy! Phil from Fareham Car sales is amazing help with looking for a great car for good price ! We went through finance procedure very quick , without any problems. I had a problem with one of the systems in a car so i did let Phil know and he booked me a date in a garage this same day. All stuff is very friendly but Phil was the one who sort out everything for me. I recommend this place for someone who is looking for place to get a good car without any problems !!

Poor service, wouldn't let me view the vehicle until advised no funds would be release before viewing. When viewing the car, there were many faults and the alloys were scratched and the had had visibly been in some sort of accident as the bumper had a poor repair. They promised this would all be fixed before sale. I paid £250 initially. 2 days later I get a call to advise that the alloys had been completed and they were finalising the other work and I would be updated after the weekend. I complete a check again on the vehicle the following Monday morning and it flagged that MOT had failed with majors, a few minors and the vehicle had been recalled. When I spoke with the team the day after the MOT was completed, none of this information, had been divulged. I don't trust this company at all and feel they will tell you anything to get your money. Reported to trade standards also, as they have now decided that I have to pay for the alloys being done and only refunded £150 of my money. The car is back on sale on their website at the same price, which indicates, nothing was completed or the work adds no value to the car as it NEEDED to be done. This is just a snippet of the damage. I understand we are buying used cars but come on! AVOID

As expected I envisage a response pretending they provide an A+ service but, their a joke! £119 for 3 Mercedes wheels?? really!! The garage is also attached to you dealership, its next door! ( back hander cheap parts anyone??

Also my original invoice from you which included all works. So my money need to be refunded.
Purchase at your own risk.

Very poor aftersales care, had car mot'd by independent garage and was advised rear shocks leaking went back to dealer to be told the mot tester had probably sprayed them to try make some money (mot test was a trade mot so testing station wouldn't make money from failing or advising faults) took car back a week later for them to inspect again and was confirmed they were leaking was told to bring car back in 6 weeks to have them done under warranty. I emailed on numerous occasions to get told lee (manager) was away till end of month so would have to wait till he was back to then be told they needed to be inspected again. Have now had theses replaced at my own expense, also had the car for a week before waterpump failed was told they would replace waterpump under warranty but I would have to pay for a new timing belt. Once i got the car back the aircon wasn't working (wire to pump hadn't been plugged back in) accidents happen u understand that, then the engine management light kept coming on due to a snapped sensor which had been broken when replacing the waterpump.
Also was told car would be valeted prior to sale but was dusty on interior and the scratches on exterior hadn't been polished out like they said they would be.
When I went to collect car and do all paperwork I had to wait an hour as they couldn't process the finance due to the car still being under finance.
All in all a very very poor experience and would never have dealing with again.

Service during the sale process was quick and efficient, will friendly staff. Although i had a minor issue with the car to resolve, Phil, Richard and his team were accommodating and able to resolve the situation for me. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality used car.

After putting a deposit down for a car, the dealer told us it would be delivered 5 days later than originally stated and demanded payment sooner than it had first been agreed. After telling him that we would get back to him with a decision, he then unilaterally decided to refund our deposit and take the car off reserve. Highly unprofessional behaviour - would not recommend purchasing from this untrustworthy dealership.

Response:

After said video was sent via Whatsapp, my partner spoke to Phil on Saturday 12th, when he was advised that the car would be delivered on Monday 21st and that payment would be taken on the morning of delivery. We decided to go ahead with this and so I made a call to your dealership as soon as it opened on Sunday 13th. Phil told me he was currently busy with a client (around 11.30) but that he would call me back soon. At 1.30 I still had no call, so called again to be told that he was still busy, but he assured me that "I haven't forgotten about you" and "promise I will return your call at 3.45". Naturally, the day passed with no call. If this contributed to the delay in the car turn-over, it is clearly an issue with efficiency on your side.

When we then received an email saying that you would not be able to deliver the car before Friday 25th and that you wanted payment before Tuesday 22nd, this came as a disappointment and my partner made a call to Richard to try to resolve the situation. I'm not sure what your definition of 'irate' is, but if you consider clear communication 'irate', you must have had a rather leisurely career in business…

There was also no mention of receiving a response on a specific date, either when you spoke to my partner or to me on Monday, and since we had paid the deposit to reserve the car, we were under the impression that you would not renege on that agreement without first advising us.

I can also confirm, as stated on the refund receipt, that it was on Tuesday morning at 10am that you cancelled and returned the deposit, not by ‘Tuesday lunchtime’. Less than 24 hours had passed since our conversation when you confirmed that you were expecting payment on Wednesday. It therefore seems strange to cancel the refund without warning before that time.

I chose not to contact you after receiving your last email because, frankly, we do not wish to sign any contracts with dealers who conduct business in such a churlish and unreliable way.

I would advise anybody who values their time not to waste it trying to enter into any sort of efficient transaction with this dealership.

Quick and easy transaction, good communication even in the current climate. I approached this dealership as a change in my personal circumstances and a longer commute meant my current car was no longer suited to my long term needs. They were more than happy to help. Contactless handover with no drama. I had a list of snags on the new car which was dealt with to my satisfaction and cost the dealership a good few quid to make me happy. Based on this and the fairness of the deal I got I am more than happy to award 5 stars and would return. Having read some of these Google reviews, I can only assume they relate to another dealership just down the road with a similar name as my experience was good. Very happy with the new car. Thanks for your help.

I bought a Renault Grand Scenic from this company in October, driving up from Devon as I couldn't find one locally. All went well until I got the car home and noticed a panel missing from the interior of the boot. Hands up, I hadn't spotted it when I looked over the car, and Phil said they hadn't either. He agreed to replace the panel. Quote from Phil: "I missed that too to be honest. I would imagine that this is a main dealer part only, so could I ask that you pop into a local renault dealer and get a quote for the cover and we will pay for it. As long as ot`s noot £££££££`s of pounds." The price from my local Renault dealer was £144.51 plus VAT for the part (not the fitting) as the whole side panel has to be replaced, so Lee from the dealership said he would look for one at a breaker's yard instead. I have heard nothing for months, and my emails are now bouncing back. I also discovered, after my own mechanic flagged it up, that the timing belt should have been replaced in July (I spoke to the garage who used to look after the car). My fault for not checking before I bought the car and I have now paid for a new timing belt. If it hadn't been for these issues I would have been reasonably satisfied with the transaction, the reviews in general are okay. I guess you take a punt and hope for the best.
