Romans of St Albans

I don't normally post reviews, but felt compelled to do so after the outstanding service I received from Romans. John and his team were extremely professional, engaging, and supportive from the first conversation we had. This continued throughout the brief time it took for them to sell my car. They managed the complete process from end to end taking delivery of my car, marketing it and after a couple of weeks, sending me the agreed money by bank transfer. I cannot recommend and thank them enough for their support and cooperation. TJ

Great experience from the team at Romans and Kai in particular who was helpful and accommodating throughout the process. The car was definitely at the lower end of what they deal with but we felt very well looked after. The initial meeting and test drive was well organised and Kai had all the information on the car and the answers to all the questions. I am not a car expert but felt able to make an informed decision and buy the car. The process of the payment and paperwork for the transfer of the car was efficient and well explained. Great service with very friendly staff If you are in the market for an exotic car they should be your first port of call.I would not hesitate in recommending to anyone.

Update

Having taken the Cayman S (981) to a Porsche specialist a number of faults that were not obvious but were on the car when it was sold to me, the most worrying of which was a snapped rear suspension brace bolt that rather than replace had just been zip tied in place making the car dangerous to drive. In the first instance I rang the dealer only to be told to claim on the warranty however when I tried to do this the third party warranty provider refused to cover the cost. In light of this I would say that although initially the sales team seems very helpful I would advise anyone to avoid this garage at all costs.

I had advertised a car myself but was not able to sell it as prospective purchasers wanted to trade in an existing vehicle and as a private person didnt want to take a px. Knowing people who had dealt with Romans and spoke well of them I called in to discuss them doing a commission sale on my behalf. Satisfactory terms were agreed straight away with John and David who said what they could achieve for the car. I left the car with them which was then prepared for sale. I did see that the car was marketed on several media platforms. A couple of weeks later I was called with an offer for the car. I stated the price at which I would sell and a day later the car was sold . I signed the Purchase Order and the sale proceeds were paid into my bank account the same day. No drama, no hassle. Highly recommended.

Excellent service from start to finish at Romans.
I dealt with David and John mostly and they were very helpful in every way possible.
They went above and beyond to accommodate all my needs having turned up at short notice on both my visits to view my Ferrari F430 Spider, they were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions with ease and went out there way to get information I requested.
I had a specific day I could get down to collect my car and they really went out of there way to make that happen keeping in constant contact thoughout.
