First time I have used Halfords for an MOT. Service was fantastic, no pressure sales for a advisory I needed.
I decided to book in to have my brakes pads and discs supplied and fitted as per advisory. Again the team were friendly, efficient and Completed the job in a good timely manner.
Will definitely be returning again.

If you think you can rely on Halfords reputation, better think twice! I booked a service and MOT around a month ago as I've decided to sell my car. Received a bill for over £700 for mandatory and £200 for advisory repairs. Moreover the mileage report was wrong with 20000 additional miles. Went back to question that and was explained that my front brake discs are worn below the manufacturer recommendation and need a replacement. After explaining that I've measured them myself and and insisted for another check, they've agreed and miraculously turned out that everything is absolutely fine! They were unable to provide a new report, therefore a staff member hand written on the old one that the first readings were incorrect.

I have sold the car a couple of days ago and had to put down the price with over £1000 due to that dubious report.

After chasing them for over 3 weeks, the regional manager finally paid me a call today. After a brief discussion he told me that there is nothing they can do, a refund is not an option, they can run another service in a different branch, etc. I have explained that the car has a new owner and it is way too late to offer me another service. Emphasized that I wouldn't trust Halfords anyway and want a refund. He kept repeating himself that they can only inspect the car again and I kept repeating that I don't own the car anymore...

It was basically "thanks for your time and money, we don't really care" said in a polite way. Not even an apology (in the garage or over the phone)! Beyond frustration, utterly unprofessional!

I can only imagine how many "beyond manufacturer recommendation" brake disks have been replaced in this garage. My advice - find another service or be very cautious.

After skipping a service in 2022 because I was barely using the vehicle for obvious reasons, I was then quoted over £580 to get my car serviced with Audi, this seemed steep so I thought I'd give my local Halfords a chance. Halfords 'full service' included more than Audi's did and cost less than HALF THE PRICE!!! Service was great, car was kept immaculate internally (very important when it's a cream interior) and overall was very impressed with staff and how the treated me. Only minor downside was it took nearly twice as long as they initially hoped it would to complete the work, but that's a minor issue when there's plenty of coffee shops nearby! Would recommend.

Went to refill my engine coolant. Being told it will take around 40 min. Came back after one hour but hasn’t been done. I have been told wont be long. But waited another 2 hour but still not been done. Poor service. Staff doesn’t have any clue what they are doing.there is a huge difference between 40 min and 3.5 hour waiting. Didn’t even apologise.
Icollected my car following day
Worst experience ever.Please train your staff.

Good job done quickly. Maybe don't hold the largest stock of parts so if you can wait check their online prices and get them to order it in.

The customer service I’ve just received was appalling to the point I walked out.I came to the centre for a front set of tyres when I arrived the colleague on the front desk was finishing with a customer before he starts to serve me the phone rings he picks up and put them on hold he starts to serve me and we talk about getting booked in he then says he is just going to finish the phone call that phone call proceeded to take about 10 minutes as you can understand I was getting annoyed and feeling ignored the phone call ended and as he put the phone down it rang again instead of thinking about finishing with me as I’ve been standing around like a tart HE PICKES UP THE PHONE I couldn’t believe it and at that point I walked out to get back in the car and he followed me out waving his arms like he’s done nothing wrong it’s a joke and not good customer service I can understand he’s buy himself but to ignore me like that shocked me I am extremely displeased.

Could barely be more incompetent. Car in for simple puncture repair which I was told would take 30mins. Went back after an hour and car not touched. Agreed to leave car with them until following morning. Went back and repair still not done because noone wrote down which tyre had a hole in it. Everything I go to this place I come away angry. The ONLY reason for using them is that they are open in Sundays. If its not an emergency go somewhere else.
