Halfords Autocentre Cambridge

I went my fiesta for a full service. I was able to find availability in short notice.
The guy gave me a call to tell me I needed things done. I agree to get them done. I went to pick up the car and
1: they had given me the wrong price twice over the phone and they blamed the calculator 😂
2: they told me my book was stamped which wasn’t the case
3: they told me they changed my break bulb with a spare one that I had in the car which they didn’t. They used one of theirs.

Makes me wonder whether they actually did all the work I paid for !
They didn’t help themselves to be trustworthy Im afraid.
Something needs to be done with the guy at the reception. He needs to have a clue of what his mechanics do on the cars that go in.

We've had a really good experience here. We took our car in for an MOT and suspected turbo change. It turned out to be a split pipe, they were very honest in telling us this was the problem and that it didn't need as much work as we thought. It's refreshing to find an honest garage, as we've been screwed over before by dodgy garages in Cambridge. So I would highly recommend taking your car here!

Cannot fault the staff at this place. Was able to get an appointment for an MOT and service at short notice. Very efficient and very helpful staff.

Avoid this place,these people seem not to know what to do or maybe they are just lazy.

Last week I booked an appointment specifying them what my car needed,once arrived I was told that I was booked in for another type of service.

I had to leave because I had to book again after they confused my request,and they had no more space for the day and even during the week.

Basically i wasted my time.

Hi Halfords!

I want to take the opportunity to say how very pleased I am with Halfords Auto centre on Henley Road Cambridge.

I had a nightmare of a morning where I got a flat on the way to work, got some air in it managed to get it round to Halfords (luckily 2 units down from my work anyway).

I saw Jack and explained the position I was in. Told him I had recently lost the locking wheel nut key and without any issues or judgement he said that he can get those off. (Other places I have been make you feel like a baby for losing or forgetting it).

Handed the keys to Jack and let him crack away at it while I went to work. He calls me later and says the fronts are also low and need replacing and even offered to show me a video if I wanted it.

Told him to do what is needed and I put my faith into him. He sorted out 3 tyres, alignment and got the locking wheel nuts off and replaced.

He called and let me know it was all done and I made my way around later in the day. Paid the money, walked me through what they did and was a really nice guy to deal with!

Because of him, I will book my MOT with Halfords and hope he will look after the car as well as he has done today!

He is a credit to your company and deserves to be rewarded!

Quick help for a suspected slow puncture on Boxing Day. Very thorough . Excellent service.

Absolutely useless, after booking an appointment, can't touch a car with a possibility of automatic gearbox problem, what a service!!
