I’d booked a wheel alignment check and was half-expecting to pay to have the wheel alignment reset but now I’m not so sure whether it was actually needed due to the camera being unplugged when the car was moved into the workshop bay.
This has left a dark cloud over what seemed to be an altogether seamless and pleasant experience.
I visited the Sevenoaks way Kwik fit for an MOT, sadly it failed as the tracking had damaged the inner edge of both front tires badly, this was fine and explained.
But when I got the car back the fitters left marks on my newly refurbished alloys (I even flagged they were recently refurbished!!!).
On inspection the face where they did the wheel alignment was damaged with scuffs on the spokes.
At the time I pointed it out and the fitter claimed it was a mark and would T cut off.
When I washed the car this weekend I have noted it’s actually scraped and damaged the paint on both front wheels.
Also as I had failed the mot I had to purchase two new tires, I asked for the best priced tires and was told it was Arrowspeed at £80 each, I never heard of them and asked if they were budget as on the web site Pirelli etc were similar prices on your web site, the salesman’s advised that they were premium.
I had to get the tires changed so had no choice to purchase them, but when I googled them at home they are very much budget tire and it even says this on Kwik fits website.
I was charged almost the same as premium tires and told they were premium by the salesman.
So mislead over the quality of my new tires charged almost the same as premium tires and had my front alloys that were refurbished to as new in September badly damaged.
Also arrived for a 4pm mot and didn’t leave till gone 7pm, the door was left wide open the whole time and it was really cold from 5:30, toilet was dirty, waiting room uncomfortable.
The wife’s experience with her car at the Orpington branch was far better.
At no point was I rude or argumentative. Anyway I took the car to the local garage who were no problem at all and put the customer first. They also don't charge for diagnostics.

To be more specific I had car serviced with the dealer and they advised that the tyre had a cut however this was never picked up by the mot inspector and neither did the manager in charge offer to take a look at the tyre when I highlighted it that one of my tyres may not be fit for purpose. I had to go to another garage to resolve.
