Rang and spoke to them apparently they haven't had any estate cars all year but are happy to show you them as options or their website and now I don't have a car and I would have to rebook even though the money is still not back in my account and could not be transferred to a new booking.
So basically I'm out £500 no car and ill get the back back in my account and some point in the future.
Add to this rude and unhelpful staff especially at head office, what can I say but thanks Europcar and advise people to avoid them if you don't want to be messed around.
There seems be a trend at the moment of companies processing orders they cant fulfill and defending their actions with "we haven't taken the money its only reserved" and that's true but of no benefit to your customers as they cant use that money to buy a product or service from a company that does really have the product or service to offer, you should be ashamed of your selves and your company stop taking orders for products and services you cant supply!
Phoned Monday to talk to an absolute rude mannered man saying that there were no cars but he could deliver one in the afternoon?. He gave me no apology and was not polite at all even when I told him that I work for the ambulance service and had lost 2 days work due to not having a car. If I could of left a no star review I would!
Had to change the car twice due to body damage and engine issues and I was made to feel like a victim asking for a legal vehicle to go on the road.
Two very miserable men who have no customer experience small talk or look like they enjoy there job whatsoever .
We took the 2nd car for a check as the service light was still on but was told it’s okay to use. All tyres where under inflated, brakes pads low, engine oil was low and past its change date as filter was clogged up. Exhaust had multiple holes in it and the omissions where high. It is scary to think that as a company Europcar take you money don’t smile, scowl at you and then give you this sort of vehicle.
We have been legally advised not to return it to that outlet but another Europcar outlet in the hope the car gets the correct attention required. The DETR have tagged this car for its next commercial check and if picked up by an ANPR camera will be checked.
why should I have to follow up a second time no one has responded from the first time I contacted your customer service.
I didn't actually hire direct from Europcar, but the Vauxhal dealer hired from them and provided the van as a coutesy vehicle.
I received a call from EuropCar saying they needed a Credit Card for security, and after being reassured - 3 times - that they definitely wouldn't be taking any money they then took £1,041.00!
If this wasn't bad enough I have been trying for 8 weeks to get my money back. If you phone you get through to Phillipians, who say they can't help you. They tell you to email and you will get a reply in up to 5 days. After 5 days you get an email saying there is nothing they can do either.
I very rarely do reviews, and even rarer a bad review, but I genuinely can't remember EVER having such a poor customer experience in my whole life. Use these guys at your peril!
And a final note to EuropCar...When you read this, can you PLEASE investigate and return my money by return.
