Various issues with marks on car and dents impossible to report, office phone just kept ringing, them after the delivery team left telling me the office held the report on them. Found something on the paper work but there were others. No spare wheel or inflation kit car was OK but getting a bit old and I know there are issues getting cars. Would I use again maybe because of delivery.

useless with a capital "F"

three times I have had a booking through work with this branch this year and they have screwed everyone of them up by changing the booking but not notifying my company, meaning i have had to change my workshop booking for the vehicle which means I have another month with rear doors not opening or the like.

if I could give 0 stars or negative I would.

I'm sure some of their bookings are fine but 3 straight strikes in one year. I'd give them a miss if I was you

Don’t rent anything from this disgraceful company. After more than 20 happy years using Avis, I decided to try Europcar due to its location. Almost £900 for three weeks rental of a tiny Corsa but then, on return, they found a small piece of plastic dislodged under the bonnet that I hadn’t noticed. Something that could probably just be pushed back into place. But no, they charged an extra £400 to my card. And then another £40 “admin fee” for forwarding a (challenged) ticket from a council car park. On escalating these issues to their ‘customer service’ team, I got a template response from an unnamed person essentially just stating ‘you should have read the terms & conditions, sucker’. This all stinks of a bad company. Beware.

Disappointing. Booked a large van for weekend moves, the van was not ready for collection on time in the morning so Europcar dropped it off to me in the afternoon. I tried to return the van in the evening but there is no key deposit facility when the office is closed. I've lost over a days productivity as a result,

Avoid at all costs...Took delivery of a BMW which had scratches on it. I Reported them to the delivery driver who said he was aware of them. I found an additional scratch which he noted. I have since been told that the damage that was present on delivery was my fault and I would need to.pay for.

No problem at all using this depot. The only minor criticism was that the load area of the hire van could have been cleaned or swept out before I picked it up but otherwise all good.

Unprofessional!! We ordered a van few days before move, it should be with us at 9-10 a.m and they called as at 9.30 to said that we cannot rent a van!! But they are charge me £260 for deposit!!! Unbelievable!!! Definitely never come back and I will not recommend everyone!!!

Edit. I am still waiting for return deposit for a car I didn’t rent!!!!

Vehicle dropped off on time, no further communication since. Vehicle was hired on my behalf by the garage fixing my car. Hired for one week, it’s now over that. Chelmsford don’t answer the phone, nor return customer calls when messages are sent to them via Europcar Customer Service.

This is nothing to do with off hiring, as my own vehicle still hasn’t been fixed. If Chelmsford answered their phones, maybe the correct customer service would be received, as the main Customer Service number is no help.

Two weeks later. Having now been charged £33.79 for a fuel charge for them getting the vehicle back from Ipswich to Chelmsford is disgusting. The return was prearranged with the garage who rented it.

I will be informing my credit card to challenge this, as the vehicle was left with exactly the same amount of fuel in it, as to when it was received the first day of hire.
Daylight robbery.

If zero was a rating, they’d most certainly get that.
