Thrifty Car and Van Rental Heathrow

Worst customer service I have experienced. No one smiles very dull welcome from staff not very helpful at all they all have an attitude for some reason. Also they require so many documents which is silly whether they own the fleet of not. I think great customer service would make up for that though again that's something they do not have unfortunately.
Big shame on thrifty. I will definitely be complaining to head office regarding this and changing our company business car rental account. Only one person there was slightly helpful he wore glasses and is of an indian origin with pushed back hair and a beard so speak to him the rest are useless.

Read several negative reviews made me a bit worried and kept trying to find an alternative from other companies I dealt with i.e. Sixt but eventually I ended up with thrifty and it was one of the best rental experiences I've ever had, will summarise my experience in few points but before I'd like to say thank you to Usman from Thrifty Heathrow he has been very helpful.

-Initially booked an elite vehicle BMW 740e and paid the £ 100 nonrefundable elite reservation fee.

-few days before my pick up date I gave them a call to change my reservation I was advised to cancel my reservation, make a new booking pay the "reservation fee" and then request refund for the first one after doing so refund was credited within 4 days.
-On pick up date I arrived with loads of luggage that wouldn't fit and was offered X5 for additional £30 per day if I remember correctly.
-After three days I called them and asked for replacement of BMW 7series my original I was lucky to get brand new 740e 2017.
-At the drop off I was charged £85 for a curb rash wheel.

Just hire a car from here 10days go around UK than return in Invervess scotland. it's better than I'm espect. recommend you book the car online with the highest insurance.
Price is good, the car is very new.
I got black jaguar xf 2018 less than 6k mile.
all staff I saw is very good (not the guy on previous review).

It provides shuttle service to and from LHR Airport every 30 mins. Good selection of cars.
However, we had booked a Jaguar XE for a week but it wasn't available. They got up set up with a BMW 4 series instead. Not a bad deal but a Jaguar is A Jaguar after all.
Word of advice/caution : Make sure to carry a CREDIT card as Debit cards aren't accepted here.

Been using this depot for several years now on my regular trips back to the UK. They are always priced very competitively. Considerably cheaper than Hertz and Avis. The vehicles are excellent and for me the service has been first class. Issues are dealt with fairly often with free upgrades or other help. The duty managers are excellent and have never failed to make me feel like a valued customer. I have never had an issue with returns either and my deposit is always refunded promptly. Will continue to use and reccomend.

I’ve used this rental company for years and they always provide good cars, even post covid the cars you get are good. They have unfortunately dropped standards in some areas, the car I received was really dirty but after waiting over two hours to be collected from the terminal I was happy just to receive the car. The shuttle service has always been poor at thrifty but now it’s absolutely shocking, which is a shame because the staff are friendly and just let down by the shuttle.

So to park and drop off the vehicle is easy enough out of hours but then you have to work out where to put the car key...the office has no post box or security box. No signs what to do....oh of course hand it into the hotel reception! Thrifty sort out the out of hours process and information for your customers.

Thrifty's service have always been professional and efficient. I was running a bit late to catch my flight from Heathrow and I dropped my car off at about 1810. The office normally closes at 1730 but Sahid ( I hope I got the name right) was working late and was kind enough to shuttle me to the terminal just in time. He went that extra mile when he didn't have to and it is much appreciated! 🙏🏾
