This is without doubt the most friendly and helpful hire car company office I have ever used! They always try to accommodate any need you may have even if it is a late alteration to a pick-up time. The cars are absolutely immaculately presented and I have never had any issues with there cars or vans in over three years of use! Staff are also superb!

Great service from the office staff, and the car we got was great, practically brand new.
On return watch out for the guy with the clipboard who is let's just say over keen to find something wrong with the car. When returning my car he inspected it with a fine tooth comb, which hadn't happened on collection, he was adoment I had scratched the car, when I knew I hadn't!
Thankfully the lovely office staff sorted this issue for me or I would have been charged!

Friendly service. Easy process. Very thorough with vehicle checks. Rented a Mercedes splitter for a day. Great condition, good on fuel, clean and drove like a dream. Super convenient that there is a petrol station 30 seconds away for refuelling.

Can I give zero stars? I reserved a vehicle a month ago to fit 7 people for a week away. We flew from various places around the world to celebrate a friend’s 40th. Received an email the day before the rental date informing that the vehicle would be ready at 1pm instead of 10:30am as originally scheduled. I called around 11 to ensure it would actually be available at 1, and was told I could have a 5 person sedan at 1. Long story short, when I called at 1, I was informed they were unable to get me a vehicle to fit all the people I had booked for ... a month previously. We were once again offered a vehicle that wouldn’t fit our entire group ... no discount or anything. We found a 7 person minivan at a nearby rental place with a different company and got a very late start to our travels, so it worked out in the end, but definitely not the stress I needed after spending 24 hours traveling from Mexico the day before. Definitely will not be using europcar again!!

Careful with the fines!!!! When receptioning the car it was parked the car in front of the office in a restricted parking area. When I arrived the fine was on the glass. You can see the Europcar employee in the fine's picture. I asked Europcar's employee and he said they would deal with it. I am now shocked when they charged me 40 pounds fee, and tranfered the liability to my name, 130 pounds. I have sent 3 e-mails to the customer service and called them 2 times, giving them proves, Visa card stamp time 2 minutes earlier than the fine's time. But they keep insisting the infraction was mine. Really a poor service branch and even worst customer service. I would not rent with this company anymore. The response to this review is to contact customer service that I have mentioned I did in several ocasions. Well now it is clear they neither read/earn the google reviews. Another missed oportunity Europcar!

I booked for a compact car online. Europcar was the cheapest when compared to other rent a cars online. The local branch which i used pick up the car is close & easy go find. Its a very small place. The pandemic guidelines & social distancing were well in place with clear signage.
The office & the pickup point is in two places so once checked in the vehicle will have to be picked up in another location end of the road.
The only downside in my visit was i booked for diesel car but i was given a petrol car.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a hire car company. They didn’t supply me with a car after mine had broken down for 4 days! They kept not calling me back, rude to me on the phone and left me waiting for hours. When they were meant to deliver a car to me but couldn’t last minute, despite the 4 day delay already, I went down to the office to make it easier and was spoken to rudely and left to wait for an hour. The whole process was awful and confusing. I will never use this service again, it was incredibly stressful and upsetting.

Took about an hour and a half to be given a car despite booking in advance and doing the 'online check-in'. No sense of urgency.

Also, you are unable to drop the car off on Sundays when the office is closed. This should be made clear when making the reservation as every other time I have rented a car, you can still return it when the office is closed.

I've used Europcar on many occasions but this will probably be the last time.
