Thrifty Car and Van Rental Enfield

Very frustrating experience. All because I chose to reside in Spain, though this is an international company.
Whence I resided within the UK, utilised Thrifty Rental Company and have my personal details on their computerised system. Now living in Spain, I return regularly to visit family and friends scattered throughout the UK and Ireland. Thrifty policy, not to rent vehicles to visitors who do not have a valid return ticket. However, I always purchase single journeys, thus avoiding time restraints. Thrifty informed me that the policy was due to security and recent threats, however no other rental company invoke these procedures, After much frustration then a common sense approach from Thrifty Head Office , I produced full personal documentation for myself and persons visiting in the UK. This then was acceptable but only as a one off on this occasion. Now I find myself having to rent from other companies and have done recently, would of loved to of remained loyal to Thrifty Car Rentals but they do not need my repeated business.

Absolutely amazing experience with thrifty. Upgraded to a better car, great customer service, great price, hassle-fee extension of the vehicle when i decided i needed it for another week. Extremely impressed by the level of care and service provided to me by Liv Dube. He's a real asset to the company. I've even recommended Thrify to all friends and family. I have also recommended thrifty to the company i work for as we use rental vehicles quite a lot.

What a fantastic experience 😀 due to my car breaking down needed a quick source of transport was recommended this branch by a friend.staff went out of their way to source me a vechicle within my price. Great service and great people. 👍🏾

Absolute cowboys!

I booked a van for the following day, received a confirmation email. I was so pleased to find a great price unfortunately as the saying goes “if it’s to good to be true, it probably is”

When I arrived at their office I was faced by an extremely rude staff member. Not surprisingly, told me that the reservation was not confirmed and if I wanted the van for today the price was almost triple.

Absolutely avoid at all cost!!

The team are fantastic at this branch chris,jay,david,mehmet and few of the other lads are extremely polite and helpful and always go the extra mile to deliver the fantastic service all us customers need. Keep it up lads

Absolutely awful company, I’m surprised they’re still in business. On day of delivery, the car arrived 2 hours late. The customer service over the phone on the day was inaccurate and terrible, the driver offered no apologies saying “we’ve had loads of deliveries”. The few times I’ve needed to speak to Thrifty again, I was met by a rude and disinterested customer service agent. I would avoid at all costs.

Absolute disgrace, when you return the car they hit you with a massive bill for damage that was already done. The first car they sent had faulty brakes.

Awful service (Enfield), in fact no service at all. No idea about customer relations - tried to book a van, received a holding email, only to find out that they do not hire vans out. "Oh sorry we should have come back to you". Absolutely crass. If this is an example - do not use Thrifty.
