Thrifty Car and Van Rental Chester

Don't be put off by some of the bad write-ups, i was a but weary about Thrifty by looking at the reviews but was very pleased that i took a chance and hired from them. Excellent staff, service, vehicle and paperwork, no hidden extras on return, they even added a few days rental with a quick phone call from me. Will be using Thrifty again for sure.

Used many times before and experienced excellent service. unfortunately of late (last 6 months) the service has been poor often not having the correct class of car that has been pre booked and a poor/unhelpful attitude to customers by certain members of staff. there is another well reputable car hire company a few doors down that will be getting my business from now on.

Haven’t rented a car but just read the small print and I would advise anybody who is looking for to rent to have a good read. Looks cheap to rent unless you want to actually drive the car somewhere keep an eye on your mileage. Enterprise is by far the better choice.

Fantastic service! Thank you to Adam and his colleagues in the Chester branch who couldn't have been more helpful when we needed a car to get us home after mine broke down on holiday in North Wales. Thank you for being the only car rental open on a Sunday. Nice new car and great value. A fraction of the price of travelling by train we were able to pick up the car in Chester and drop it off next morning in Croydon. So easy. So convenient.

Good hiring place as long as you got all the documents required to prove who you are . Remember to take a utility bill and a bank statement with you. Great van and staff.

Not happy with this place one bit ordered a small car ended up with a Jeep 3.8 engine took that back and ask for a smaller vehicle which i pre-ordered over internet and paid for the woman behind desk which was the manager was very rude unhelpful and I will not recommend this company to anyone and I will never be using it again

From the moment I arrived Ross at Thrifty Chester gave me great service; he was very reassuring and helpful. The rest of the team were very nice and friendly, too.
The car (BMW X1) was in great condition and very nice to drive. Overall - a great hire experience.

I have had several hire cars from Thrifty Chester and they have always been of a high standard and clean. Also on several occasions I have had an upgrade which I always appreciate as a petrol head. I find the fleet is far better than other hire companies in the area and they are easy to deal with.
