National Car Rental - London Gatwick Airport

As a national car emerald club executive elite member (highest status with national car rental). I had the worst customer service experience at this location while picking up a rental booked under my elite status. The lady at the counter was rude and unprofessional. She wanted to charge me an extra £70 for an automatic car while my reservation was for a 4x4 booked under my free rental days. I even called the national customer service who ensured me an automatic 4x4 without any extra “upgrade” fees but the lady at the counter just wouldn’t understand and said she has never heard about free rental days and kept on insisting that I pay the extra £70 stating that I haven’t rented from Gatwick airport before and that this is how it is done here! Please avoid this location at all costs they do not treat people as human. This was by far the worst car rental experience I ever had and I rent cars all around the globe!! You don’t become an executive elite over night!!

Difficulty was to find it. Once found very pleasing service.

Had a great experience. Employees are so very friendly and efficient at both ends. I did not experience undue upsell for insurance and extras, or switch and bate with them. Cars were decent and the process relatively smooth. Will definitely consider using them again, if they continue offering decent rental rates.

Excellent but for not getting a 4 digit code to get in at Gatwick, caused a bit of trouble!!

Front desk polite and helpful, staff in car park were no customer focused only there to sell insurance and did not deliver car I had reserved

The return agent couldn't be bothered to be at his station and I had to track him down in the rental kiosk.
