I took my car to brown's garage because my normal garage failed the mot on emissions .the guys from browns check my emissions for me and told me they was fine! It hadn't been tested properly. My old garage told me I needed a complete new exhaust, I am grateful to the guys at brows for there knolage. Top garage.
Will definitely use them again.

Greeted by a warm welcome from Darren & Rob plus other members of the team - the reception doubles as a coffee shop, a facility I availed myself just before I left!

The task was to modify standard production exhaust parts for a vintage Austin 7 onto a coach-built Austin Swallow to mimic the modifications performed by the coachbuilder back in 1930! The exhaust system for the Austin Swallow was quite different to its standard factory counter-part!

I supplied the parts for modification, together with the drawing showing how the standard parts were to be altered and it was very much hands-on with the customer (me) assisting the very able Rob so that we could get the detail as correct as could be.

Rob knows his stuff and did a superb job with the exhaust modification. Whilst in the workshop, I could see how the team operates - in a clean & tidy atmosphere, all well laid out with good facilities and they take good care of customers' cars.

At the end of my visit, they produced a very good hot chocolate with mash mallows, hit the spot and rounded off a very good morning!

Whilst my hands-on experience would not be a normal customer circumstance, it shows what a friendly bunch these guys are, so thank you very much!

Such friendly and helpful guys from start to finish. Darren explained the issue several times and the mechanic who carried out the work was happy to talk through what was wrong with me as well. They didn't do something that didn't need doing and managed to fit it in quicker than anticipated. I don't plan to go anywhere else going forward. Thanks guys. So refreshing to see. What a professional, efficient, extraordinarily helpful company. I was stranded with a flat battery and was rescued within 10 minutes and no charge made. We will all be using Browns for our car needs in the future. No wonder the Google reviews are all so good!

In the 20 years that I have been getting my car repaired at Browns they have always done a great job and never overcharged or done unnecessary work. I recommend them highly.

High quality work and great customer service, with pro coffee served in addition! Full strip down and rebuild of triple 40DCOE Weber Carburettors on 1973 Triumph GT6. Not a service you can get from your average garage. Fixed price quoting, approved in advance and no surprises.

These guys work on all sorts from standard servicing to exotics to racing cars even. So a small repair on my little car was dealt with quickly and efficiently and I spent the rest of the day playing with my favourite toy 😆
