I am very pleased with the work done on my car. Colin explained clearly what the potential work required might be before starting on anything. The BMW116i (2011) was in need of some care and attention. Amongst other things, he dealt with a tricky cooling fan problem with the minimum of fuss, potentially saving me a hefty bill, and returned the car to me way ahead of schedule - which was fortunate as the next day my flight to Manchester was cancelled.

I took my recently purchased car to Colin for a safety check to see what condition my car was in. I only expected a quick check on the important things, but was surprised to see how thorough Colin performed the check, It was like a full service but without parts ( all wheels off for brakes, full under body check, full under bonnet check of all fluids and interior safety check) plus lots more.
I was pleasantly surprised on how thorough and in depth the checks were and how professionally Colin carried out the check, I wish every garage was as professional and conscientious as Colin.

I first visited Thorpe Garage in October 2021 when he was able to look at my car with no notice when I was very worried about a scary noise, other garages had refused to help me. Colin identified a life threatening issue with the steering as well as the source of the noise. I've been back 3 times since - for a service, other repair work and pre-MOT checks. Each time Colin has taken me through the issues and the costs. He's polite, professional and thorough. I will continue going back.

I have to say that the service received was superb. I was provided with a quote for the work on my car and I was kept up to date all through the work being carried out with regular updates. The knowledge displayed by the owner was outstanding and he went through a number of solutions with me. The work was completed early, the car drives the best it has for a long time and it cost me less than expected. Superb service all round. You should definitely take your car here. :-)

First time I met colin,i felt comfortable and knew my car was in good hands. Having been in the garage business myself and not able to do it myself, 73 years old,I needed someone I could trust.
Carried out a lube service and wheels off,etc.and took it for an mot for me,even dropped me home and pick up as I'm just down the road.
Felt I paid a fair price for all extras he did. I would definitely recommend Colin and will use him again to take care of a few other jobs he found. Thank you Colin

Colin has done several services for me over the last few years, and always done a great job. He does a thorough inspection of the car, and gives me honest advice on what needs doing and what can be left for another time.
