Upon arrival, I did not have a chance to speak with any guys as they rush me to start washing it, couldn't reverse as there was a long cue of cars behind so I thought "Let's do it".
When the guys start to wash I open to let them know which option I want it when they just make a gesture to shut the door! "No English, no English"
I carry on and follow gestures from the clerks, I pop down the car and they start to dry the car and vacuum inside when one of the guys approach me and ask for £12 (it looks like he barely speaks English) so I said: "I wanted a number 4". He then showed where to park the car and start to adding some products in and out to dress the black bits and the wheels.
Once finished he ask for £24 which is the price for option 4 but (and here is the twist) the don't take cards as there was nobody in the office?!?
He called the guy but not answered so I had to leave the car parked in there, and go to an ATM to get the cash to pay for it (I was even charged £0.99, I didn't care at this point just want it to drive away)
Pay the guy and as I was my first time there I was asking the guy with the jetwash how to get out of the carpark but he rudely said: "Move the car, move the car!".
This was my personal experience.
You cannot assume that every person driving in knows your business, you should always take the time to greet at least and explain how it works.
If you accept card payment you accept card payments.
Don't put the customer in a compromise when you said that "There is nobody to take card payments" why do you offer it then?
Smile, it won't cost you anything and will gain you more happy customers.
and Lastly, we are in England, the least you can do is employ staff that speak English or at least incentive them with English classes, that way they can work for you and learn English at the same time. It is very frustrating trying to speak to a person your concerns and nobody speaks English to a minimum standard (unless this is your business strategy)
To top it up, a very expensive scraper was stolen from drivers side door. The audacity to feel the need to steal is absolutely disgusting.
First and most definitely the last time I will use their services.
What was worse is that while leaving, he intentionally handed me back just 1 pound instead of 2 (on a 20 pound payment for the 18 pound car wash price) - he was also looking away, and walking away slyly. Man, if you want to charge me extra for washing my extra set of floor mats, just tell me?
Have washed here before as well, and its a shame - as the rest of the washing staff do a good job.
