Guildford Castle

So I have visited twice now with my partner off season and on season, both were amazing and worth the visit. Gardens are meticulously well kept and flowered, it has a communal feeling whilst allowing us to appreciate the passage of town upon the castle.

The grounds are beautiful and crowned by the castle on top of the hill. A notice board gave opening hours and the entrance showed a sign saying tickets must be obtained at ground level. But having walked all around the castle ground, there was no place to buy tickets, so our visit was restricted to the grounds, even though we were there during the advertised opening hours.
The top of the hill does afford good views across the city of Guildford.

Brilliant location. A very good place to spend some hours and it's worth, especially during summer days. They have got a superb garden as well.

Breathtaking. Gardens are superb, what hard work has been put into the gardening. Truly stunning.

Lots of car parks nearby and loads of restaurants and shops. Great day out.

The castle is nice visiting, really interesting if you ask the lady to describe you the place and tell you its story. But what really is wonderful is the garden 😊 peaceful place, just a few tourists that day I visited

Very nice place for a day visit. Place is very nice and clean. You can buy tickets and go inside and at top of the castle as well to get a clear view and see the castle from inside. You can go till 2nd floor and enjoy the scenic view.

It is how lucky that you can find a mini castle in town!! Really good to have a walk after lunchtime, and when the weather is good, I love to visit here cause the views are always great and amazing.

I am quite looking forward to visiting here again in spring time. It must be amazing! With a good view and when all flower blooms I am sure here will be perfect!

Lovely gardens and peaceful place great views of Guilford as never been before, shame as about the metal staircase not in context with the castle. Free to walk around gardens not sure about going on inside has closed on the Sunday we visited. Car parks close by and very cheap to park. Compared to o some places that charge £ 10 for a couple of hours we paid £1.50
