Very specific opening hours so make sure it is open when you are in town.
Some great English civil war armour and 14-15thC architecture. The displays are rather eclectic as the museum is rather new, but it is a worthwhile trip and good to support the restoration effort.

Beautiful gardens!

Beautiful, compact castle full of interesting history and artifacts. The grounds are well maintained and the fruit and veggie garden are most impressive, even in autumn which is when we visited. Boots recommended if you venture down the trail to the river! We stayed in the adjoining Barton Castle accommodation and this too was very spacious, comfortable and well heated, and not very many squeaky floors either which you might otherwise normally expect! Even during these times of Covid19, although some things were removed like the extensive library collection and being asked to bring our own towels etc., we were made to feel very welcome and the kids loved the space. Thoroughly recommended and we're told it's even better in the summer!

Really enjoyed our visit to this tiny castle with its antiquities, and lovely gardens leading down to the river. Very medieval. Kitchen gardens were pretty. Some of the stairs are quite steep but there's a standard size staircase you can use.

Fascinating historic castle. Very much worth a visit. The gardens are beautiful and the museum reveals a thousand years of history.

Wonderful visit to Tiverton Castle grounds today. Sadly the inside is still closed due to Covid. However we have an extremely educational tour round the outside and gardens. The kitchen garden was filled with beautiful vegetables and fruits. Wonderful place to visit but do check the opening hours.

A great way to spend a couple of hour when visiting Tiverton. Small but interesting gardens. Unfortunately the house wasn't open yet because of Covid. The owners are clearly very proud of their property
