No one seems to know about this place. I read about it in an obscure book published 30 years ago. Stopped by many local places and not many jave heard of it. Sits on a commanding position at the mouth of a narrow valley. Breathtaking view.

Steep walk but worth every step. Extra nice as my wife an I got married at a castle dinas (iron age castle/hillfort) in Cornwall. So was nice to see another..

Not much left but it dates from 1219 when you get to the top fantastic view's

Dinas Castle. 1467 feet. Highest castle in England and Wales, now a ruin, been a hillfort there since 600bc.

The climb was quite fun but hard at points. The only part of the castle left was the wall part which was a bit underwhelming but the climb and picturesque scenery on the way up were amazing on the day I went, you can see for miles and you can easily access other peaks from the castle area.

Very steep hike straight up the hillside but well worth it for the view. Large iron age hillfort with the overgrown remains of a Norman castle.

We have been there for a day trip and went up on the top to the remaining parts of the ancient castle. From there you have a very nice view over the land and hills. Highly recommended. Be careful in the pastures because of the cows 😉. Unfortunately the nearby pub was closed.
