Caergwrle Castle

Love taking a walk up the castle. Usually go off the usual footpath and go up through the woods. Really steep so not the best place for people with limited mobility. Really peaceful at the top and loads of interesting things to look at.

A nice little walk to the ruin if a medieval Castle. The story behind the castle is pretty interesting. Good views of the surrounding countryside as well. Definitely worth the visit.

One of my favourite little castles. Amazing place to visit. Very cute little walk round the hill. (Ps it's hard to park here)
You can climb right up on the tops of the walls and see the amazing views around.
Totally free to go to at any time of day.

Interesting place, lovely walk with great views even in bad weather. If you're coming from a far, combine it with visits to other things, it's not a BIG EVENT kind of place, but still well worth seeing.
Parking available on a small free car park on High Street.

Free parking available in caergwrle village centre, just a short walk away. The castle is a beautiful piece of hidden history.

Easy free close parking, steep hill to climb, but accessible,just hold on to the pram or wheelchair on the way down!
Easy to walk around, boards up near the castle with some history and basic info to learn.

There is a free car park very near the bottom and the castle is also free all year round.
Its a nice walk up, short and steep. Only takes 10 or 15 minutes to get up.
The castle is now only a small ruin but still worth a visit. It had just the 1 information board that i noticed.

Great views from the castle. Lovely walk from the road up to the castle itself. I think the information board would be more useful as the start rather than at the end
