Visit was great fun. Inside exhibits fun for 6 year old, toilets and facilities really clean. Reasonably priced gift shop. Steep climb to castle but worth it for the views over Criccieth and beyond. Younger children need to be kept close as there are drops. We spent about an hour and a half outside in the castle remains, so 2 hours in total for visit. Family ticket great value for 2 adults and 3 children. We will be going back.

Really nice castle. Just walls and fairly small, but still enjoyable to walk around. Quite a steep walk to the top so you need to be reasonably fit to manage it. Great views from the top. Small gift shop. £6 admittance fee for adults. Please note it is closed on Tuesday & Wednesday.

Visited in September 2019 while I had holiday in Wales.
Car park is on the beach, fair priced, and also we can find there public toilets, too. We have to walk up on a steep but short road to the castle, where there is a small showroom at the entrance, with some interesting information about the castle's history. Also here there are toilets and cafe. The castle itself is rather ruins nowadays, but yet very impressive and quite big. The view is fantastic and there are some benches behind the walls to sit and enjoy the lovely weather. Because it is on the top of the hill, so it can be very windy.

Fabulous little castle! Great views over the bay and Criccieth Beach. It's a little steep walk up from the car park (we parked at the car park on the esplanade - bring cash the app is temperamental!) but well worth the hike for the views! The admission is reasonable and entrance is through a good little shop. There are sheer drops around the outside of the castle so keep hold of and an eye on little ones. The views from the rear of the castle are stunning. We were very very lucky as the day we went there was a fabulous harpist playing and storytelling inside the main part of the castle. She was fabulous, hilarious, had the children eating out the palm of her hand and really put the icing on the cake of our trip to the castle so if you can time your visit to coincide with the fabulous harpist- don't hesitate!

A wonderful place to visit - this dramatic ruin perched atop the rocky outcrop, overlooking Criccieth.
Nice visitor centre at the entrance, with lots of useful info about the castle and surrounding area, very helpful staff.
The castle itself is a striking ruin, and the views from the castle on the day of my visit were spectacular - out to sea, along the peninsula one way, along the coast the other, and also overlooking the near parts of Criccieth itself.
I would recommend a visit here, especially if you are nearby in the area.

It may be on the smaller end of castles, but it's a great place to visit. Sitting on a rocky outcrop adds to the atmosphere. Staff were great & the history tour worth going on

10 minute walk from the city centre are these easily accessible and lovely Castle remains. They have a £6.50 entry for an adult which is a bit too much for the value. Impressive views of the surrounding hills and the ocean makes this place a must visit when in north Wales. The castle itself doesn’t take no more than 5 minutes to walk through and look at. There is a tiny gift shop and toilets to use.

A clean place but unfortunately didn't offer any breakfast options. The host was really nice and couldn't do enough for us. The room was exceptionally clean and even had some nice little touches.

We were showed the other rooms and apartments and I have to say we sold stay again as these have a self catering option with a lovely kitchen.

We will stay again...Great central location for sight seeing.
