Unusual to see a castle not ruined by touristy additions, one way systems or displays at every turn. All in all, a very authentic experience.
Entry wasn't unreasonable (£30 for two adults and a child) and there was no queue to enter. Lots of different areas to explore including the castle walls before you pay to enter. Took us around an hour to walk around it all.
There are toilets at the entrance. There are a few places nearby to park, which all seem to be around £4 for 4 hours.
Certainly worth a visit.
A really well preserved castle, considering the castle is over 700 years old. Beautiful old castle and ruins that gives you a good insight into that time period in history. Good views of Conwy, town centre and river.
Big gift shop and a good place to find some nice souvenirs. It’s very good value and really worth a visit.
Finding the castle was easy and parking was plentiful. However, we arrived at 10:30 and by 13:00 the car park was full. I paid around £4.50 for six hours parking!!
Whilst you are here consider paying a visit to Britain smaller house!!
For a small fee of only £1.50 you are getting the chance to walk through the doors of this miniature living space.
It gives a feeling of freedom because we can visit all area of the castle. Each space we can visit. See from above or down. Love it! I have been there few times and it’s amazing enjoy the castle inside or outside.
